Would you believe that Four Roses started with a love story? Founder Paul Jones, Jr. sent a proposal to his beloved – if she accepted, she was to wear a corsage of four red roses to the upcoming ball. He later named his bourbon Four Roses as a symbol of his love and devotion to her.🌹

Today, the distillery prides itself in being a mellow oasis in Bourbon Country, with unique offerings such as a relaxing patio overlooking the rolling hills of the distillery grounds and curated sips at Bar 1888.🥃 🌾

Check out Willett Distillery - this month’s featured distillery and part of our Bardstown tour!

Willett Distillery has a deep history in Bourbon Country, having broken ground just 3 years after the repeal of prohibition. They even received a gold medal for their Old Bardstown Bourbon from the Kentucky Governor in 1964 – the same year as congress named bourbon America’s Native Spirit.🏅

Today, the distillery features The Bar at Willett, a beautiful restaurant on the property that serves vintage whiskey, classic cocktails and small bites inspired by the family’s heritage.

Jeptha Creed is a family business founded on the motto “Don’t Forget Where You Came From.” The distillery lays on 64-acres covered in crops like grain, corn and fruits that go straight into the Jeptha Creed spirits!

The distillery offers unique experiences like barrel tastings and a mixology class, along with an on-site café and bar!
