A film recommendation -- if you would like a true picture of the Guatemalan Highlands culture and a powerful mother/daughter bond. This beautiful movie should be on your list. I post it on ClothRoads because it won an award for best costume from the Ibero-American Film Fenix Awards. Which is pretty silly since these are not costumes, these are real Kaqchikel people wearing what they wear every day. The film was selected as the Guatemalan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards but was not nominated. Highly recommended.

Shuttles Spindles and Skeins

Loveland Art Studio Tour and Sale

Artist Mary Giacomini is one of the many artists participating in the Loveland Studio Tour this year. Mary paints in several mediums and teaches art in all levels at the Loveland Museum Gallery and plein air workshops as well.
