Happy birthday, Walt Disney! He was born on this day in 1901!

Did you know Walt had a private apartment above the fire station in Disneyland? He and his family would often stay overnight in it. Since his passing, there is always a lamp (or small Christmas tree) on in the window of the fire station to keep Walt’s presence alive in the park.

Guests can visit the apartment as part of a behind the scenes tour at Disneyland. My family took the tour last year, and it was so special to see this amazing part of Disney history!

Details were released today for Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure! The Treasure has an “adventure vibe” vs the “castle at sea vibe” of its sister ship, the Disney Wish.

Top Three Things I’m most excited for on this new ship:
1️⃣ Jungle Cruise themed bar
2️⃣ “Coco” themed dining room with live musical performances
3️⃣ a brand new Broadway style show that’s yet to be announced

Happy September 1, friends! If you know me in real life, you know that fall is not my “thing” (long live summer). But if anything will get me excited for fall, it’s Disney Halloween decor!

Last October, my family sailed on the Disney Dream - it was a Halloween on the High Seas sailing and was packed full of Halloween fun. Families are encouraged to dress up for trick or treating (we kept it basic but some people went all out!) and there are Halloween themed activities throughout the cruise!

My family had the chance to ride TRON, the newest roller coaster at Walt Disney World last week! It’s taken nearly 5 years to build it so we were excited to finally ride it. There’s no “traditional” standby line - you can either purchase an Individual Lightning Lane or try to get in the virtual queue to get a boarding group which will allow you to get in line. Without either of these options, you won’t be able to ride. Our review - it’s very short! The launch is the best part and we liked the ride much better at night. Glad we tried it but not a must-do for my crew. Are you hoping to ride TRON on your upcoming visit to Magic Kingdom?

Today is the last day to ride Splash Mountain with its original theme! It will reopen next year as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Sad to to see a classic go, but I’m excited for a new experience!

Curious to see a video of the newly remodeled rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort? You’re in luck, I did a quick room tour during my visit last month, and I can attest to these rooms being incredible! They are much lighter and brighter than the previous design. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorites because it’s located on the monorail system (two stops from Magic Kingdom), has an incredible South Pacific theme, and some of the best food and drink options on property! Tonight is the very last showing of “Happily Ever After” at the Magic Kingdom. I’m not big on fireworks, but I absolutely loved this show. The song is incredible and gives me all the feels each time I hear it! The show itself is about 18 minutes but I’m just sharing my favorite 2 minutes - the finale. “And so our journey has come to an end. But yours continues on. Grab hold of your dreams and make them come true. For you are the key to unlocking your own magic. Now go. Let your dreams guide you. Reach out and find your Happily Ever After.”
