A lovely April Day

On the cold wintry day, here's this from July
The old stone horse watering trough is a lovely sound in the cove at THE ANDERSONBURG PLACE.
The water flows through the original hand pump and from the original cistern for the old house. This was a project Mike and Terra Brownback, the owners, had on the to - do list from the beginning of the restoration. Finally, it is complete and working. Mike had to climb down by ladder and make repairs to the cistern walls which were no longer holding water. Thanks Troy Forlizzi for masonry assistance and Jason Blumenshein for pump help. That cistern is over 160 years old. It is supplied with water from all rain gutters on the house. We reconnected them into the old cistern as we made repairs to all the porches and new gutters were installed. "Sound on please"
