It is a free web-based service that allows users to create conditional statements or "applets" that automate actions between different online services, apps, and devices. In simple terms, it enables you to set up an action to happen automatically in response to a trigger.

How Works:
Trigger (This): The event that starts the automation. For example, if you receive a new email in Gmail, or if the temperature in your smart home device goes below a certain level.
Action (That): The response that follows the trigger. For example, if a new email comes in, IFTTT might automatically save an attachment to your Dropbox, or if the temperature drops, it could turn on a heater.
