We wrapped up our tour with a grand exit! We spent the day in Bald K**b Arkansas, where we had a chance to "hobnob" with some of their friendliest residents before the Eclipse started! Check out our blog for the details.

We also enjoyed a private concert alongside a bayou in Louisiana that we think you’ll enjoy too!
When on motor coach tours, we sing This is the Day and God Bless America each morning. Enjoy these renditions by a tour guide who led us in singing one morning!

Merry Christmas from our home to yours!
Looking forward to seeing our Lynden and Bellingham friends tonight at our annual meeting! We will be meeting at the Lynden Community/Senior Center. Join us at 7pm to learn more about our 2024 tours, visit with friends from previous tours, meet new friends, and enjoy some refreshments together!
This morning we spent time at the The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Our guided tour allowed us to explore the world's most extensive collection of American rodeo photographs, barbed wire, saddlery, and early rodeo trophies. Additionally, we gained fascinating insights into Native American culture, their lands, and lifestyles.
After the tour, some of us took a leisurely stroll through the beautiful museum grounds before boarding the bus back to our hotel.
After a short break, we boarded back on the bus and made our way to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. This monument is a powerful symbol of strength after unspeakable violence, commemorating the Oklahoma City bombing.
Walking through the outdoor memorial, we saw rows of empty chairs, each representing a life lost that tragic day.
We discovered a beautiful little chapel nestled in the woods just outside of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The Thorncrown Chapel was creatively crafted with an abundance of windows to enjoy the woods that surrounded it. We sang a few hymns with added to this wonderful experience. Special thanks to Cheryl for generously sharing her piano talents and to Bob for skillfully guiding our group.
Make sure you watch our special video! 🎹🎶

Our next stop was Eureka Springs where we stopped for a little break from our bus trip to Oklahoma. Eureka Springs' charming downtown, with its historic architecture infused with an artistic atmosphere, made for a delightful stop.
Next, we journeyed to Oklahoma City, where we savored a delicious dinner at Abuelo's Mexican restaurant – a taste of Mexico right there in the heart of the city. Ole! Following our meal, we strolled just around the corner to reach our cozy home for the next two nights.
A little fun video about our day in Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. Covering 10,000 acres in the Ozark Mountains, this park offers streams, cascading waterfalls, and unique hand-built bridges. We took a guided tram tour which was a unique way to experience all that the park has to offer.

This morning, we had the pleasure of visiting Woodland Hills Family Church. Located in a unique castle-like building, the exterior of the church was quite remarkable.
Many years ago, this building used to be set within an amusement park, which added to its charm and history.
After our time at the church, we made our way to Silver Dollar City Park, which was adorned with an abundance of pumpkins and fall decorations throughout the grounds.
Our day didn't end there; we wrapped it up with a visit to Cracker Barrel. It's always a favorite among Tulip Tours guests, as many of them don't have this popular establishment in their hometowns.
At the Haygoods show, we were treated to 6 talented siblings performing creative musical brilliance. Countless instruments produced beautiful music. We were so captivated by the upside-down guitar playing and the rhythm of tap dancing in work boots. They even tap danced upside down! The performance also featured a stunning rendition of "Hallelujah" as well as mesmerizing harp playing by the only sister, Catherine. Here’s a little sampling of what we experienced at the show. Enjoy!

Today, we set out from our hotel to explore Dogwood Canyon Nature Park in the Ozark Mountains, spanning 10,000 acres and featuring trout streams, waterfalls, hand-built bridges, the Wilderness Chapel, and an ancient burial cave. A guided tram tour took us deep into the canyon, crossing into Arkansas where we spotted elk, buffalo, and longhorns, making the chilly morning worthwhile.
After dinner at Famous Dave's, we enjoyed the Haygoods show renowned for its blend of music, comedy, and family authenticity. The multi-talented Haygoods, with their singing, dancing, tapping, and instrumental skills, left us in awe, and the dazzling lights added a touch of magic to the night.
"Banjo Boy," one of the siblings, even met our group, shared insights about their family, and graciously gave autographs, making it a memorable evening.
Look for our highlight video we'll post tomorrow!

The Presley family's 56-year legacy in Branson is an absolute treasure! Wonderful music and lots of laughs. 😂
🇺🇸 Last night, a moving tribute to veterans and a heartwarming rendition of "God Bless the U.S.A." was the perfect ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We started our 3rd day in Missouri at the College of the Ozarks, also known as Hard Work U, where students work 15 hours a week to cover their education costs. Our tour included visits to The Stained Glass and Candle Shop, the Hoge Greenhouses, Williams Memorial Chapel, and the Keeter Center gift shop. After exploring downtown Branson, we enjoyed the performance of Queen Esther at the Sight and Sound theater. A filling dinner at the Golden Corral was followed by an entertaining show by the Presley family. The day left us inspired by the beauty and culture of the Ozarks.

This morning, we enjoyed an engaging guided tour of Branson with our local guide, Bob Nichols, who has deep ties to the area and shared captivating stories about its history and connections to entertainers. We explored the Ozark "mountains" and valleys, learning about theater construction, the formation of Table Lake, and the community's commitment to hospitality.
We also went to the Grand Country Music Hall for a stunning performance by New South Gospel.
Later, we made a short stop to see movie-themed vehicles before going to the Shepherd of the Hills for the "Who Dunnit?" dinner show. This comedic murder mystery unfolded as friends tried to solve the death of legendary Fiddler Squeeky Bowman. The performance had us laughing throughout. 🤣🤣🤣

On our last day, we visited a final castle and then had free time in the afternoon to shop and dine along the Royal Mile. We were able to enjoy many people wearing kilts and heard bagpipers playing. We ended our day with a fun interactive cooking experience at a top cookery school in Edinburgh, adding a tasty finish to our trip. 💜💚

We started our day early, taking a ferry to the Orkney Islands in the North Sea. Of the 70 islands, only 20 are inhabited. We spent the day exploring historic sites, some dating back 5000 years, including underground houses, standing stones, and earth houses. The main industries here are barley, sheep/beef farming, tourism, salmon farming, and wind farms. We visited the Italian chapel, built by WWII prisoners, before ending the day at Skara Brae, an ancient settlement, and Skaill House. Orkney left us with unforgettable memories of history and natural beauty.

We had an unforgettable day exploring the misty Isle of Skye! 🏴
The sun decided to take a day off, but that only added to the enchantment of this Gaelic gem. From a coach on a ferry to Highland "Coo" sightings, it was a journey to remember. We learned about Skye's rich history, indulged in local cuisine in Portree, and even visited the majestic Eilean Donan Castle.

We arrived in Missouri and our first stop was a fun and delicious dining experience in Ozark, Missouri, at Lambert's Cafe, renowned for its "throwed rolls." Our meal was not only yummy, but the atmosphere was also a lot of fun. 🤩 What added to the excitement was watching the playful tossing of hot rolls throughout the restaurant! 😋😁 Check out our first day in Missouri!👉🏼 https://gotuliptours.com/hello-from-branson/

In case you are wondering why we started the video with Gumby and didn’t catch our Facebook story, we had bus issues first thing in the morning.
