🤓 It’s officially official. Muppet Vision 3D will close at Hollywood Studios on June 7, along with PizzeRizzo quick service location (it’s rat pizza - IYKYK 🐀). In addition, Mama Melrose will close for good on May 10 🍝.

🐸 Disney fanatics are taking this show closure particularly hard, especially since it was the last project Jim Henson worked on before he passed away. Rumor has it Disney is trying to find a way to preserve it in their parks but no official word on that yet.

Will you go meet the muppets one last time before it closes?

🎨Festival of the Arts begins today in Epcot! This festival is short, but so sweet and one of our favorites. Here are some highlights:

🍴Sip, savor and stroll all the delicious and colorful cuisine

🖌️ Leave your creative mark on a larger than life paint by number mural

✍️ Learn to draw a Disney character from a Disney animator at the Animation Academy

🖼️ Step into an artistic backdrop and strike a pose like you’re the Mona Lisa

💜Complete the Figment scavenger hunt as you stroll the World Showcase

👩‍🎨 Watch chalk artists at work throughout the park

🎭 Grab a seat for Disney on Broadway featuring songs from award winning Disney musicals

🌈 Will you be visiting Festival of the Arts this year? We may or may not have to plan a last minute trip to check out all the fun!

✨ We are so excited about all the new additions coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the next couple of years…but to make room for the new, we need to say goodbye to the old.

🚧 DinoLand U.S.A. will begin a phased closure to break ground on a brand-new Tropical Americas themed land featuring details from Encanto and Indiana Jones. Beginning on January 13, 2025, the construction walls will go up and Triceratop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will close permanently.

🦕 If you’re a big Dinosaur fan, your kids love the Boneyard, or you have don’t want to say goodbye to the signature mouse-ear drinks at Restaurantosaurus, you’re in luck, as those will be open for quite a bit longer.

Don”t forget - day guests of Magic Kingdom can now view Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks daily through New Year’s Eve. 🎄🎅🏼

The parade will happen twice daily at 12 & 3PM and the fireworks will go off nightly at 8PM.

🚧✨ January Ride Updates ✨🚧

Heads up, Disney fans! Some beloved attractions will be temporarily closed for refurbishments as the parks work their magic behind the scenes. While we’ll miss them for now, it’s all part of keeping the magic alive for years to come!

⛰️ Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom closes January 6, 2025 and will not reopen until 2026 as imagineers break ground on a new Villains land.

🌊 Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom will be closed from January 6 - March.

🏁 Test Track in Epcot remains closed as the ride gets a overhaul - we look forward to it opening later in 2026.

🇲🇽 Gran Fiesta Tour in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot will be closed from January 6 - March 15. Don’t worry - La Cava is still open 😂🍹

✨ We have a newfound love for a Disney World tradition - pin trading! For years we have bought pins as souvenirs from our trip to remember where we stayed, our favorite ride or a special event. We never wanted to trade those pins because they were personal to us.

✨ But this last trip, our girls wanted to start trading. The “starter” sets cost $45 for 5 pins so I was hesitant, but a lovely cast member gave me a tip to buy the pack pictured above - $35 for 6 pins! Since we weren’t attached to those pins, the girls could trade away!

Here’s how it works:

📍Look for Cast Members wearing lanyards or pin boards at various locations in the parks and resorts. Many shops, restaurants and attractions also have pin boards.

📌 Select a pin from your collection to trade. Politely ask the Cast Member to trade for one of theirs - they will accept any pin as long as they are real Disney pins and not damaged.

💡Tip: Look for “Hidden Mickey” pins, which are unique pins released for trading with Cast Members. They have small Mickey symbols on them and are fun to hunt for

🌍 It’s also a fun motivator to get the kids to walk “around the world” at Epcot while you eat and drink :)

✨ We had a great time doing this and enjoyed interacting with all the cast members who often went out of their way to have a special conversation with the girls.

we’ve been lucky enough to take many trips to disney but seeing the girls at this age appreciate all the small joys this trip was just pure joy ✨🥺

you know we love the rides but wow…it’s just so much more than that 🫶
