Thorpe Vineyard will host their first Starry Starry Night: Stargazing at the Vineyard this Saturday August 10th. Enjoy a relaxing Sunset Tasting from 8pm to 9pm with Stargazing starting at 9pm. Fumie Thorpe, the owner of Thorpe Vineyard, has a BS degree in Meteorology with a minor in Astronomy from SUNY Oswego. Fumie will hand out a star chart and talk about the celestial bodies’ overhead, making it a great opportunity to learn more about the Stars & Constellations.

The Lyons Heritage Society the Lyons Erie Canalway Greeters are once again hosting “Fun on the Erie Canal Weekend”, 3 narrated and fun filled cruises on the Historic Erie Canal.
Cruise dates are August 24 & 25, 2024 with 2 cruises of approximately 35 miles (4.5 hours) in length and 1 cruise of approximately 12 miles (2.5 hours) in length.
Cruises depart from the Lyons dock located behind the Lyons Fire Department Building, 23 Water Street, or from Stivers Seneca Marina, 401 Boody’s Hill Road, Waterloo.

The Laurel House Comfort Care provides end-of-life care in a place like home, surrounded by compassionate, high-quality care and support. There is no cost to the resident or their families/support system. Since opening in March of 2019 they have been able to help over 140 families through the efforts of volunteers, generous donors and fundraising events like Hot Rods for Hospice.

Barge one carrying the Ralph Wilson Park Pedestrian Bridge has passed through Lock 27 in historic downtown Lyons on their way to Palmyra. The tug will then return to Mays Point to transport barge two through Newark later today or tomorrow morning. Be sure to follow Carver Companies to stay up to date on the latest ETA’s.
The Kings Have Arrived! 🐟 The net pens were ready as the DEC hatchery truck pulled into the parking lot of Krenzer Marine on Sodus Bay. The 90,000 king salmon fingerlings came on schedule...10:30 am Thursday April 11th.
