As a private voice instructor, I believe that it is important for beginning students of any age to learn the basics of proper placement and support in order to both protect their maturing voices and also to help them gain the technique required to excel. For those students who have a driving interest in learning to sing, I can provide that extra, one-on-one support to help you further those skills

. I find that children are a joy to teach, though I've also had plenty of adults take tutelage from me as well! My background includes over fifteen years of private voice instruction, a music degree from Bucks County College, vocal performance training at Temple University, and an Elementary Education degree from Kutztown University. I have a solid comprehension of good basic vocal technique, but also understand the demands and needed protection of the stage voice. I have considerable stage and musical theater experience, and I use that in conjunction with my classical training and background to provide instruction in the type of music you are most interested in, be it Broadway, Classical, Folk, Pop, or any other! I provide assistance with County and District choral preparation as well, and many of my students participate in both. Your voice is your instrument, and you must take care of it just as you would a clarinet, violin, or trumpet.
