A big thank you to special customers Scott & Catherine Coburn ! They are in town for the week to enjoy the beach on a much needed vacation. They booked 3-days to fish with us during their stay but our weather here has been pretty unstable to say the least. The westerly winds and thunderstorms have been here since last week which has made fishing impossible. Not only are Scott & Catherine great customers, they are friends.

I am glad we took the time to do this “in-frame” rebuild. As you can see the copper was starting to show on the bearings. She would not have made it through the summer. Coming back together without too many hang up’s. Looking forward to cranking her up later this evening

Haven’t posted much lately. Here’s what’s going on: my port motor was replaced with a running take out back in March of 2022 with only 1500 hrs on it (those of you who know Caterpillar Marine 3208’s know that is not a lot of hours). However the starboard motor had close to 10k hours. It was a tough decision to make because it requires a few weeks of downtime. I blocked out the last part of May to tackle an in-frame rebuild. I want to thank Carter Taliaferro of Master Diesel Marine Repair for all his efforts. He is old school marine mechanic. Also I want to thank T & S Marine in Crisfield Maryland for all of the parts necessary to complete this job. June is booked and July is shaping up to be just as busy. Finishing up a few things. Should be up and running Monday/Tuesday next week.

Don’t usually post pictures of fish but today is honorable mention !! Had this 29 lb Cobia swim up to the back of the boat and the only available rod was light tackle, and 20lbs test !! Kevin did an excellent job of adjusting drag to wear this bad boy down. I think what a lot of fishermen don’t realize is the power that these fish have. When you go to gaff, you’d better be ready !! Good day
