We caught this Wahoo after trolling for only about a half an hour in between Mahi fishing in Islamorada. The crazy part was we got this bite after we had stopped the boat and as we began cranking in…the fish must have been following it and when we stopped the lure began to flutter and sink and then it took off with it absolutely peeling line!

Trip after trip after trip I find myself asking clients, “Do you see that fish??”, “Snook 2 o’ clock!”, “Redfish coming down the edge of that bar!”, “Lead him 2 feet up current!” And more times than not the reply is, “WHERE???” As they look at me with sunglass-less squinty eyes… Well it’s time to change that, I have started a rental program where my clients can now see clear as day through the water for the low price of $10 per pair for the trip!!! Jk they’re going to be free to use and I think it’s going to make a big difference on getting more quality shots on fish while sight casting. 😎

Inspired Fishing Charters was created in 2015, after Capt. Skylar Wilks graduated from college at Florida Gulf Coast University. The sole purpose of this charter is to allow family, friends, and adventurists alike the opportunity to create lasting memories together on the water. For nearly five years, we have successfully fulfilled that promise.
