My favorite place to get ice cream in Walt Disney World is the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck. There is usually a special sundae, and the current one is a good one! Both vanilla and chocolate, PLUS cake crumbs? Yes, please! 😋

What’s your favorite way to enjoy the afternoon at Hollywood Studios? Mine is to have a Mickey shaped pretzel and a mango lada rita from Anaheim produce!

Last night’s dinner was a new to us place, even though it’s been there a long time, Katsura Grill. The restaurant is located on a hill in the Japanese pavilion. We had the teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef and chicken.

Our bib numbers are 22391 and 22872. While we will do a 5k Thursday, the first trackable race is the 10k on Friday, followed by the half Saturday and a full marathon Sunday to complete the challenge.

I’ll be glad to swap some COLD running for some less cold running 😂

As for today, we are heading to the expo to pick up our bibs and check out the merchandise!

This trip we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. Step into the heart of Africa at this magnificent Resort hotel. Delight in dazzling pool areas, exciting animal programs and one of the largest collections of African art in the United States as you experience your own African safari adventure with a touch of Disney magic.

I love how this resort feels like it’s a world away from the busy theme parks, and all the little details. And when staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge you actually get the amenities of two resorts in one! There is Jambo House and Kidani Village, each has its own rooms, pools and restaurants but you stay at one and play at two!

After dropping our bags at our resort we hopped to Disney Springs for our lunch reservation at Summerhouse on the Lake, a newer restaurant.

I really wanted the frosé drink, but it’s cold here today! So I went with a latte instead. We ordered the jalapeno cornbread for an appetizer which was absolutely delicious, and then the pizza special (forgot a pic oops) and picnic chicken basket.

There’s some really nice outdoor seating by the lake, but it was just too cool out to sit there today.

It’s time! Stay tuned as I travel to Walt Disney World to take on the D***y Challenge! We will be running a 5k Thursday, 10k Friday, half marathon Saturday and a full marathon Sunday.

Tiana’s Famous Beignets are now available at Magic Kingdom Park around the corner from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! They are not Cafe Du’Monde, but they’re not bad!

The beignets are covered in powdered sugar and drizzled with honey- a twist on tradition, but again, not bad!
