Breaking News: New Lightning Lane Options Coming to Walt Disney World!

Walt Disney World just announced some upcoming changes to Lightning Lane entry, including new ways to plan ahead. Starting on July 24, Disney Genie+ will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and individual Lightning Lane entry will become Lightning Lane Single Pass.

What a crazy morning today at Magic Kingdom!

‼️ The BEAR necessity updates! ⬇️

🐻 A bear was sighted in Magic Kingdom today!
🐻 Disney Closed the left-side of the park as they rescued and relocated the bear.
🐻 Disney also relocated a good amount of their Guest Services team to Magic Kingdom to ease the unBEARable Guest Services lines.
🐻 The park is now operating normally with no bear in sight 🤣

A TON of news was released at D23 today that I am so excited to share!!

Magic Kingdom:
👻 The Hatbox Ghost will be joining The Haunted Mansion in late November
🐻 The Country Bear Jamboree is being reimagined with new songs and a new act
🏴‍☠️ Pirates of the Caribbean will be getting a new themed lounge! Details to come!

Epcot:
🌊 The new Journey of Water attraction inspired by Moana will be opening on October 16, 2023 WITH a Moana meet and greet!
🎆 A new nighttime show featuring fireworks, fountains, and lasers called "Luminous: The Symphony of Us" will debut on December 5, 2023
🚙 Test Track is being reimagined
💜Figment meet and greets will begin TOMORROW- September 10, 2023!

Hollywood Studios:
⭐️ Ahsoka will be joining Star Tours
❤️ Asha from "Wish" will be coming to the parks in the spring

Animal Kingdom:
🐰 It's Tough to Be a Bug will be replaced by a Zootopia show in the Tree of Life Theater!
🌸 There are plans to reimagine Dinoland USA into a new land. Both Encanto and Indiana Jones themes are being considered!

🪵 Today is the last day that guests will be able to ride Disney’s classic ride- Splash Mountain.

📆 But don’t worry! There are big plans in the works!

🐸 The ride is being revamped to include a Princess and the Frog theme- and will reopen in 2024 as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!!

So it’s not goodbye Splash Mountain, it’s see ya real soon!

Happy Birthday Walt Disney!

Did you know the farmhouse in Living with the Land is a replica of Walt Disney’s house in Marceline, Missouri? You can even get a glimpse into his boyhood room upstairs while eating at Garden Grill.

Though he only lived there from 5 to 10 years old, Marceline left such an impression on him that Main Street USA is largely modeled after the town at the turn of the century.

Also announced: Starting June 8, Genie+ will no longer be offered as a pre-arrival ticket add-on at Walt Disney World for the remainder of 2022 and all of 2023.

If you already purchased Genie+ as a ticket add-on, you'll still be able to use the service.

After June 8, you will only be able to purchase Genie+ through the app "one day at a time, subject to availability.”

Disney also announced the early theme park benefit for WDW Resort hotel guests will continue throughout all of 2023!

👻 Welcome Foolish Mortals! You'll go on a tour lead by your ghost host through an eerie haunted estate, home to ghosts, ghouls and supernatural surprises.

🔮 While on your ride, you'll see Madame Leota’s chilling séance room, a piano being played by a ghost, books moving on the shelves, hitchhikers and a ballroom filled with, you guessed it, ghosts!! 👻

Foolish Mortals of all ages can ride this. There are frightening scenes but no gore and the ghosts are friendly.

Fun Fact: The cemetery outside is full of Easter Eggs - Mr. Toad has a tombstone in the pet cemetery!

Going 🆙?!

Coming in at number 2️⃣ the infamous Hollywood Tower of Terror. This attraction is based on the popular television series which originally aired from 1959 to 1964.

💀On a gloomy Halloween night in 1939, some hotel patrons were riding the elevator when a violent storm struck the building… and they were never seen again. The hotel closed down and has stood empty ever since

🏨Once you step uneasily inside the hotel, you’ll find a lobby frozen in time. Even the hotel staff seem strangely out of another era…

😱Enter the elevator lift if you dare..and shriek in terror as you’re suddenly propelled up and down the abandoned shaft—unexpectedly dropping and rising.

Will you make it back to the real world… or will you become a permanent resident of the Twilight Zone?
