I'm from Yorkshire, England where I grew up and got into cycling. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot and combined with a growing love of cycling this has allowed me to visit so many amazing places, meet new people, and push my boundaries. 📚️ My name does not have a translation, and I love it! It’s hard to pronounce and memorize but once you do it, you won’t forget it 😊

📚️ I lived in Poland for one year before joining Trek Travel, doing voluntary service with teenagers.

📚️ I have a bachelor’s degree in design and I’m currently doing my master’s degree in Sociology.

📚️ My favorite place to guide is Portugal. It’s home and I love showing my home to everyone! The food, the people and the landscapes don’t disappoint!

📚️ My favorite trip memory was when I turned 27 while on trip, in 2021. The group enjoyed the celebration, and we all wore birthday hats. It was so much fun riding with them and my bike, all decorated by Nick. It was a very special birthday ❤

Meet Your Guide: Sammy Clary!

Hi, I'm Sammy Clary, born and raised 4th generation Greenville, SC. Some people say I have an accent but to me, it sounds perfectly fine. I think people need to get better listening ears to understand my Southern accent. 😜 I love riding and showing people around Greenville at our SC Ride Camps.

🥤 I was a Secondary Education History major at Clemson and I consider myself a treasure trove of useless facts. Wikipedia is a powerful thing.

🥤 Before joining the Trek family, I was a licensed auctioneer and yes I can do the fast-talking.

🥤 My favorite pre-ride meal consists of Pop Tarts, a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (Peanut Butter Crackers can be substituted), and washed down with a Coke. During the ride and throughout the day you'll see me enjoying 6-8 of those refreshing Cokes.

🥤 I love guiding Greenville but possibly my favorite ride to guide is Going to the Sun Road in Glacier with all the amazing vistas.

🥤 My favorite trip memory was having a father and his entire family from around the country come together on a trip to celebrate his birthday.

Swiss Alps Gravel is a dream! Take it from our Product Financial Analyst, Peter, who journeyed to Switzerland last August. ⁠

"This was my first trip with Trek Travel, and it will be a serious challenge to top it. The views were never-ending. From our room at the Hotel Belvedere to the views on any given ride, my jaw was on the floor each day. This is truly the best way to see the Alps. The daily itinerary has a fantastic flow that will wow you at each turn.”⁠

1. My friend Jack and I had to stop for a photo op. You could hop off your bike at any point on this trip and get photos just like this. ⁠
⁠
2. You won't have to worry about your water bottle going empty on this trip. Every Swiss town you ride through features a mineral water fountain for a quick ice-cold refill. ⁠
⁠
3. There is no better way to see the Swiss Alps. The entire week is filled with picturesque peaks. I was glued to the window even on the train in and out of the Engadin Valley.⁠

4. You can't go wrong with a cake and coffee stop after a challenging climb. Sit back and enjoy the views. ⁠
⁠
5. It is somewhat surprising how quickly a group can bond on an experience like this. I think this is really where Trek Travel shines. Awkward hellos during the day-one safety talks quickly turn into lively conversations at dinner later that night. ⁠

6. One of my guides was Lisa, who lives in the area and seems to have endless knowledge and stories about the region. ⁠
⁠
7. A former glacier guide and an avid skier in Mont Blanc, my other guide, Riann, has some great stories to share as well! ⁠

8. Pristine gravel paired with the Trek Checkpoint makes each route such a blast to ride. The lightweight frame feels quick and responsive. A great balance of power on the inclines and control on the declines.⁠

9. Seeing these folks playing the Alphorns was a classic Swiss experience!⁠
⁠
10. The final ride of the trip revolves around the crystal blue lakes of St. Moritz. It was hard to say goodbye but that ride was a proper send-off to the Swiss Alps.

Meet Your Guide: Anna Ricci

Originally from Michigan, I now call the front range of Colorado home. I've always been passionate about traveling and the ability to do more of that on the seat of a bicycle has not only changed the way I travel, but greatly impacted how I view the world. I am sucker for homemade pasta and can enjoy a bowl of soup at any given point in time, even in the heat of summer.

✨️ I can map out most of the stars and constellations in the Northern Hemisphere's night sky

✨️ I love lighting up a dance floor and will always be in for a night of Karaoke no matter how bad I am at singing

✨️ South and Central America are my favorite regions to travel to as they really put me outside of my comfort zone and I always learn so much about the world and myself when I head south ❤️

✨️ My favorite places to guide would be our National Parks trips in the U.S. as well as any of our Gravel trips. Getting off the beaten path are the adventures I am after.

✨️ My favorite trip memory? So many to recount! One that comes to mind first was a trip in Shenandoah Valley. We had incredible group dynamics that made the trip extra fun to be a part of. On our guest choice night, the guides organized a meet-up for trivia at a local watering hole that is hard to find. Most of our group came, and we had so much fun enjoying a lively night out together like old friends. That, to me, is where these trips really come to life for everyone!
