These new clients reached out May 1st because they had been struggling to decide on a destination to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Overwhelmed, with just 3 weeks to go, a set budget and set travel dates, I did what I do best, began searching for the perfect place for THEM and their wishes. Even with tight parameters, I was able to hone in on their perfect spot. There really is an art to this. With millions of places to travel and stay, I take tremendous pride in crafting unique and memorable vacations for my clients. A decade later and texts like these still bring me such satisfaction. 🥰 Happy 25th Anniversary D&M!

The thing I love most about my job are the relationships I develop with clients. I always want to treat them like family, which I know many say is unwise and to keep business business but when you care, when you really care, your clients become friends. I get such joy and satisfaction from not only seeing their travel plans and special occasions through but the trust and rapport built to get there is really special. With my destination brides, I often work with them for over a year. The phone calls, texts, emails, frustrations and reassurances over that year, to throw a wedding in a foreign country, develop into cherished conversations, meltdowns and laughs that create a special friendship. Karen & Danny are those kind of people. When I had the house fire back in August and we went shopping for new clothes, we bumped into Karen and it lead to a giant hug and words of encouragement that I needed more than ever. She gave me grace and kindness and was the epitome of a dream bride to work with especially during a rough spot on my end. Karen thank you for trusting me, being patient, understanding, and easy going. You were truly a pleasure to work with. I have no doubt these two will have a lifetime of fun ahead. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Popich! 🎉🥂

10 years into to this business and there are some destinations that still give me butterflies of excitement when booking. Maldives is one of those destinations. I book it KNOWING clients will experience something so magical they will never forget it. Happy Mardi Gras friends! 💜💚💛 This is always one of my busiest travel weeks of the year! ✈️ Many of my Louisiana clients are skipping the parades and headed to beaches in Hawaii, Mexico and the Bahamas. Skiiing in Montana & Colorado, Sailing on the Wonder of the Seas and Disney Magic, and of course visiting Universal Studios and Disney World theme parks. Which vacation would you pick?

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving last week! I was surviving juggling kids with the flu, 15 separate client reservations traveling at the same time, and several rounds of visiting our families once everyone was feeling better. Shockingly, I did not have a client with single flight issue! It was a holiday miracle! 🙌🏼😆 Fun fact, Sunday was the busiest day ever at airports in the US, with TSA reporting 2,884,783 people screened. It was also an incredibly smooth day of travel with fewer than one-half of 1% of 51,332 scheduled flights canceled. Dare I become hopeful that Christmas travel will go as smoothly? 🤞🏻

We officially moved back into the house last week, then I headed straight to a 4 day work conference, and am finishing it off with a couple of recharge days at one of my all time favorite all inclusive resorts. When the stress of life takes over, I head to the beach! 😆 Thank you all for your patience with me over the last 2 months. I’ll be back to my full time schedule next week and ready to tackle all my holiday reservations on the books for this last quarter! 💕

Hello friends! We experienced a house fire yesterday, a kids Power Wheel battery exploded in our garage, likely due to high heat temperatures. While the fire was contained to garage contents, the smoke damage in the house is extensive and we are looking at a 2-3 month displacement while the remediation and repairs are made. We are thanking God no one was injured, and that I came home just in time to get the dogs out of the house and call 911. The fireman were incredibly fast with their response time and no doubt saved the house! Two minutes more and it would have been a very different situation. All this to say, I will be unavailable for the next couple of weeks as we navigate relocating and salvaging what we can. I appreciate your patience and understanding with me over the next few weeks. 💙

When you have clients in Maui, and a horrific wildfire breaks out, literally covering 1/2 the island, and you book them seats on flights to get them OUT ASAP before you can even reach them, bc they are all still sleeping, but you’re 5 hours ahead and paying attention... New flights, new hotel, new dinner reservations, and their last few days will continue with an ‘on the fly’ plan B. THIS is why you use a good travel agent friends. Please Pray for Maui. It’s absolutely horrible what is happening. 💔

Back to reality this Monday morning and reflecting on the amazing week I had in the Dominican Republic! This was my 7th trip to the island and as always, the hospitality was just over the top. Attending the World Romance Travel Conference I was able to tour 7 new resorts, stay at two ‘new to me’ properties, had 22 direct appointments with some of the best honeymoon and destination wedding suppliers in the business, was inspired by lectures from some the industry’s top experts and I left beyond excited about all the new and fabulous things I learned to incorporate into my clients travel plans. Thank you DR for another beautiful experience! 🇩🇴

So many fabulous ceremony locations at one resort! A rooftop terrace, beach front gazebo, a garden gazebo or even a Catholic chapel. They have covered every base, for every bride! 💕 Their basic wedding packages start at just $1250 for up to 60 guests, 😳 yes, you read that correctly! That price includes the ceremony site, chairs/table set up in white, bridal party flowers, a tiered wedding cake, sound system and a semi-private, sit down plated dinner reception, and a day of coordinator… it is beyond a value for all that they’ve included! Celebrating 16 years with my favorite travel partner this weekend. Saying “I do” in Cabo before destination weddings were really even a thing should have been a clue that our lives would be full of adventure! I’m so thankful for his constant support of my business, his willingness to always pack up and go, inspect countless resorts with me while on ‘vacation’ and only bring a carry on! 😆 Looking forward to many more years of exploring the world with him by my side! 💕

Sometimes you just need to make time to Sneak Away. I was able able to keep my computer closed for an entire 4 days this week and truly rest. That’s hard for me. I’m a workaholic by nature, if I do something, I do it 110%. But that catches up with you after awhile. I feel like a different person today. I feel rested, happy, and thankful. I am ready to face the summer with my 3 little guys, my wedding groups and all my summer traveling families and couples. I love that I get to help people escape it all and make lasting memories. Traveling is so good for your soul. Life is too short to put it off. Take the trip. I can help you make it happen!

Hi friends! Just a friendly reminder, that if you plan on booking a vacation or destination wedding, the earlier you do it the better! Travel is back with a vengeance (so thankful 🙌🏼) and I am booking up faster than ever before! Quality service to my clients is a top priority so I am limited as to how many bookings I can take at one time (particularly during peak holiday travel weeks like Mardi Gras, Spring Break, Thanksgiving & Christmas). My 2023 booking capacity is nearly maxed out and we are only 3 months into the year! I am also nearly maxed out for the first half of 2024, which is mind blowing. 😳 I am only booking two destination wedding groups per month in an effort to best serve my brides and their guests, and I am nearly booked up for those until July 2024! As the requests for destination weddings continued to grow for me over the past couple of years, I decided that if I wanted to be the best at this, I needed to learn from the best. 13 months ago I invested thousands of dollars and hours and hours of time learning from the Destination Wedding guru himself, Will. He was my mentor but also became my friend. This guy took a dream in his 20s and turned it into a multi million dollar company but better yet, he generously shared what he knew with his fellow agents that wanted to learn and specialize in destination weddings. Will helped me grow not only in sales but in confidence. He was passionate about the business, called me out on my excuses when needed and forced me to put into practice the things necessary to be successful and do the very best job for my brides and clients. Will was hysterical, charismatic, knew how to have fun, worked hard and was my cheerleader. His motto of “community over competition” rang true in all that he did and why he was so loved in the travel agent community. I am so incredibly thankful I had the opportunity and privilege to learn from him. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Yes it’s true - Universal is heading to Texas!

Just north of Dallas in the city of Frisco, they are building a one-of-a-kind theme park specifically designed for families with young children. The proposed park will feature immersive themed lands, family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, character meet and greets, a themed hotel and more. It will bring to life Universal’s beloved characters and stories in ways that will wow even the youngest theme park goers. Sounds like fun to me!

Clients think I’m crazy when I tell them to avoid checking luggage at all costs. This is exactly why. Maybe I should do a tutorial on how to pack for carry on cases. I have converted many to traveling this way. I promise, you’re overpacking if you can’t manage to pack in a carry on.

Merry Christmas from Mother Nature and the airlines! Please be extra patient if you’re traveling over the next 72 hours. Pack medications, cash, snacks, chargers, and a change of clothes in your carry on bags (avoid checked luggage at all costs!) Mentally prepare for the delays and be ready for a backup plan. I’ll be busy making sure all my clients make it where they are scheduled to be (home from Turks and Caicos, to Bahamas, to Hawaii, home from Mexico, to St Lucia, to Breckenridge, to Dollywood, to Orlando and to NYC)!
