Get to know our JEA stylist, .d_ ❤️

1. What is your favorite style at the moment?

My favorite styles I’ve been drawn to are a mix between minimal punk and maximal croquette! On paper I think those two styles are polar opposites, but when mixed together it can make some of the coolest interesting looking outfits to me. I want to try and really bring those aesthetics out more with my personal wardrobe now having access to more quality pieces!

2. Where are your favorite places to shop for yourself?

Small businesses, thrift shops, liquidation stores, and flea markets. I have found some of the most interesting pieces at places like these, and I love quality over quantity!

3. If you were only allowed 5 items in your carry on, what would they be?

This is so hard!! I overpack anywhere I go, haha.. if I absolutely have to choose, I would pack a good straight leg jean, light coat or cardigan, graphic tee, a really cool and comfortable sneaker, and of course some cool jewelry to go with the fit!

4. What items do you always have in your styling kit when working with clients?

I always have a steamer, stain remover wipes, pins and clips, a sewing kit, and other gadgets to keep me prepared for any and everything.

5. What have you learned in 2024 that will help you become a better stylist in 2025?

I have learned the art of being creative at any moment. It’s certainly a skill that has been ever evolving, and there are moments that leave you in a state of having to truly think outside of the box and in a timely manner. I love styling because it has helped me rethink how to use what I already own to make it look new for myself or a client!

6. What are you thankful for?

I’m thankful for the opportunities I have been given, they aren’t always promised. Also, for connecting with likeminded people who are interested in the same career as myself, for finding new friends through work, and all around great people to work with! I hope the new year brings many more of these special memories I have from being a part of JEAStyle.

We are all in for animal prints! 🤍🦓🖤

Style tip: Black & white Zebra print wardrobe pieces like a nice blazer, pants, sneakers, or these heeled boots, are a great neutral to mix & match with other colors & prints. This is a great way to add an interesting eye catching element to your outfit. Plus it’s a classic that will always keep coming back in style! 🤍🦓🖤
