The Living Area, a fully furnished Kitchen and Dining Area are all situated within a large open space containing a vaulted ceiling of exposed rough sawn wood trusses that gives the cabin the feel of “mountain” living. A roof covered wood deck porch accessed off the Dining Area and from each bedroom, provides a relaxing setting wherein guests can kick back on the rocking chairs, enjoy some outside dining, experience the rushing sounds of Wycle Creek that runs along the rear of the property and take in the tranquil and scenic views of the surrounding mountains and forestry. Perhaps even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife.
Wycle Creek Cabin is located within relatively short driving distances from most attractions and activities, such as The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway; a scenic driving route appropriately known as “America’s Favorite Drive”. Nearby Cherokee NC offers family attractions and activities such as the Oconaluftee Indian Village and the Cherokee Museum. For adults, there’s Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. Families can enjoy and experience whitewater rafting, kayaking, tubing and zip-lining, all found at the Nantahala Outdoor Center located in Bryson City, NC. For those wanting to take a leisurely train ride through the beautiful countryside of Western North Carolina, The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, also located in Bryson City is your ticket.
Maggie Valley itself hosts a variety of popular activities such as skiing and snowboarding at the Cataloochee Ski Area and snow tubing at Tube World. For golfers, golfing at the Maggie Valley Country Club or at the Lake Junaluska Golf Course are both located nearby.
