We love Miss Maggie❤️

I want to take a moment and provide an update and a little more insight on my current recovery. First and foremost: For those who have taken the time to think of me in prayer, thought, messages and an outpouring of cards and well wishes - I am truly humbled and grateful. The love shown me has touched me and is a truly bright part of some very difficult days. Thank you for lifting me up in love.

As many have seen, I have come far enough along in my recovery from my most recent surgery that I was able to get out for a small bit over the past weekend. That said, recovery is still ongoing and will be for some time due to the scope of this last surgery. While getting back out was more delayed than I originally thought it would be, it brought me immense joy to finally be back out there and greet locals and visitors alike.

As a volunteer, the posts you see during the week (Motivation Monday and Where’s Miss Maggie) are all usually accomplished during my time out and about over weekends due to my personal schedule and obligations. The photos are then stored and used for the intended day / post. While I resume my recovery, some more time will go by before posts throughout a week will become consistent and regular again. As well, my time out will continue to be “as best as I am able” and also may be less than regular.

To bring better understanding to all this, the surgery that took place at the end of July was at my neck and required removal of muscle and repair and manipulation to tendons and nerves in that area that then travel down my arm to my fingers that have not healed properly after the initial break. I mention this so as to bring understanding to why this recovery is so much more time consuming and why simple things (like waving and even turning my head) are immensely uncomfortable as the area continues to heal. And also to bring understanding to why things will still be a little lighter on time out and posts seen. I will continue to share on my page, opportunities to best enjoy our beautiful Maggie Valley area and hope you’ll consider those businesses in your time out and about our beautiful area.

I look forward to resuming a more normal routine more than anyone. However, it will be a slow and gradual increase. In the meantime, I ask for your continued understanding, for which I am grateful.
❤️❤️
