We went on a lovely sunset sail onboard a gorgeous schooner the Applejack
We had a weekend in Massachusetts and did a few interesting things
We did this, sooooo much fun. Kennebec River was a blast.
To end our incredible time in Canada we wrapped it up in Niagra Falls. This place is truly breath-taking, the magnitude & force of the water is absolutely awe-inspiring.
To end the day, before driving to the Finger Lakes NY, we did a bit of boating ๐
Hope you enjoy our little video of our day.
Enjoyed a nice sunset cruise through Casco Bay on the mail run ferry the other day.
A quick 30ish hours in New York to catch the Tesky Brothers in Brooklyn with a bit of sight seeing and food thrown in.
We only spent one day in Ottawa, it was short & sweet.
But we saw alot and enjoyed the capitol of Canada.
Enjoy
We stopped for lunch on a river on our way to Montreal.
There was an amazing Catholic Church there, total surprise.
Last meal in Quebec City @ Louis Herbert and what a meal.
Montreal here we come.
Still on day 2 of Quebec City.
We had the opportunity to go under the boardwalk to see the ruins of Samuel Champlains 2nd chateau/fort. Which was built on the hill, his first was in the lower town and stands today as a cathedral.
We move on towards Montreal next.
Continuing on with day 2 of Quebec City, there was a lot to see & do.
We visited the Notre dame basilica, wow, the Morrin Centre which is the only complete English library in Quebec. We then walked past Parliament Building and wow again, unfortunately it was too late to do a tour but the building itself, magnificent.
Day 2 continues in Quebec City.
We went down to Lower Town & Quartier Petite Champlain. The history & architecture, just stunning.
Day 2
Quebec City
Old Quebec what a place, amazing.
This is a little montage to the Fairmont le chateau Frontenac.
No matter where we went in the old town this thing looms large.
Day 1 in Quebec City.
Montmorency Falls was amazing. The history of this place was very interesting.
More of Quebec to come....
First day in Quebec City.
First bevvies of the day & yea it is a reasonable hour (1630).
More to come........
Last weekend the weather was on point, and a drive to Acadia National Park was on the list.
We stopped at Belfast for a lovely lunch.
We only did the loop due to time constraints.
We are looking forward to returning for a proper hike.
Last weekend the weather was gorgeous (16c) so we headed out to find some waterfalls near Rangeley ME.
Another snow storm in Brunswick Maine.
Very windy which made for sideways snow.
A little snip of my walk this morning, magical.
On the way home from The Forks we stopped to see the frozen Moxie Falls. What was meant to be a 10min walk turned into an hour hike on ice & snow. It was all so worth it, gorgeous winter scenery, the falls are amazing the photos do not do it justice
We had the fantastic opportunity to go snowmobiling this week at The Forks, Maine. It was amazing, 6 hours of snowmobiling was great but we payed for it the next day. We didn't realise how taxing it was on the body, everything ached for 2 days, still worth it๐
Awesome time on the weekend hiking with the goats at
It is awesome to wake up to this & even better to have a morning coffee in it. It is a warm 1 degree just lovely.
Happy Halloween all ๐ป๐งโโ๏ธ๐๐
Went to the local fair on the weekend
On our 3rd last day in Nova Scotia we decided to go and see what the tidal bore was all about, first hand in a blow up boat.
What an amazing experience, not just the rafting on the high tide but our driver was so informative & funny, she really knew the river tides inside out.
Hope you enjoy a snip of what was our 2 hour experience.
We really felt it the next day, bums & shoulders got a work out ๐
After our lovely evening at the Whiskey Distillery, we had to walk off some of the over indulgence. Not far of a drive to get to the Cabot Trail which is a gorgeous drive through and around the top of the island. The Skyline hike was the highlight, well worth the really long gradual incline back up to the car. It was cool to be literally in the clouds by the time we got back to the car.
Stopped at Cape Breton, Glenora Whiskey Distillery. Celebrating a little birthday, at a great place with good food and whiskey.
We travelled from Gorham New Hampshire into Vermont, our first stay here was at Stowe. What a great place, very picturesque.
Big ticket item, the Von Trapp (Sound of Music) Family Lodge & Brewery, decendents of the family still live & work there.
Enjoy our little snip of Stowe, Vermont.

Stopped by the Maine Wildlife Park for a quick visit. Probably the only way weโll get to see an actual moose while we are here. #twophatdacksinMaine
