We had the best opportunity to see Bryce Canyon on horse back just after sunrise. This 3 hour experience was absolutely amazing. I had the loveliest mule named Matt & Troy had pushy Franz Ferdinand. Would recommend seeing Bryce this way for sure, especially as the canyon is 8500ft above sea level.

This is a bit out of sync with the travels.
Viva Las Vegas baby.

After our amazing ATV adventure we toned it down with a 3.5 hour, ranger guided hike through the Fiery Furnace at Arches National Park, Arizona. This is an area of the national park that has limited access to protect the environment, we were very lucky to get a couple of passes for the tour. It was a once in a lifetime experience that we would recommend 100%.

We made it to Moab, what a great place.
An ATV experience was on the list & what a fantastic experience. It started at 5:30pm & lasted 3 hours, sunset on the Hellā€™s Revenge trail was amazing.

Next on the list (itā€™s a long one) was Monument Valley. This area is in both Arizona and Utah, which are in different time zones! Good luck saw us get to our horse riding booking just in the nick of time. We had a two hour horse ride through part of the valley passing by The Mittens & Merrick buttes, Sentinel mesa and seeing Saddleback, King on His Throne, Bear & Rabbit and Castle Rock (the one Tom Cruise hung off) buttes in the distance.

We were a bit sore after the ride, but it was well worth it. You have probably seen parts of Monument Vally if youā€™ve watched an old John Wayne western movie.

Next stop on our adventure was Antelope Canyon X. This is a slot canyon near Page in Arizona. There are quite a few slot canyons throughout this area that formed due to erosion from wind and water. Since they are very narrow the water level can rise very quickly when it rains as the surrounding country side drains into the canyons. The water then drains out just as quick as it came in, in this case the canyons drain into the Colorado river.

We arrived in Page, exhausted. Refreshed the next morning we made it to Horseshoe Bend just after sunrise & as we were leaving the tour buses were arriving šŸ˜.
Still in Arizona but very close to the Utah border, so much so our watches didnā€™t know what time it was, very confusing.

We drove from Sedona to Grand Canyon South Rim. This place is huge, we visited Desert View then onto Mather Point. We had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Elk up close, wow what majestic creatures. There were bebes too.

On the second day of our road trip through Arizona, we visited Montezumaā€™s National Monument then travelled the Red Rock Scenic Byway stopping in Sedona to see the Chapel of the Holy Cross. So many different landscapes from desert with old man cactus through to dense forests of tall pines.

Montezumaā€™s castle was occupied by native Americans from around 600AD until 1400AD. Situated on a small river the area was on a trade route where the locals could trade their produce with tribes from the north and south.

Hope you enjoy our little video of our day.

We move on towards Montreal next.

Continuing on with day 2 of Quebec City, there was a lot to see & do.
We visited the Notre dame basilica, wow, the Morrin Centre which is the only complete English library in Quebec. We then walked past Parliament Building and wow again, unfortunately it was too late to do a tour but the building itself, magnificent.
