Another beautiful day in our neighborhood.

Cool little stop at the Mono Basin Historical Society and Museum in Lee Vining. There is the upside down miner’s house. It is located in the front yard of the Historical society. The plaque and all the furniture and even a cat is upside down (on the ceiling) .

Inside the old school house is an interesting museum of local history. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the area. Definitely worth a stop!

On a sode note there is a nice park adjacent to it with a clean bathroom, shade and a good jungle gym apparatus that kids can run some energy out in. The view of Mono Lake is spectacular from the park.

Horseshoe Lake is pretty full, but still has a great beach area and a very pretty walking/running trail around it.
