Lots of beautiful days on the water so far for October. Come check us out for the last few weeks of trout fishing on Crowley. It’s been good. I have scattered availability through October 26th. Then I’m heading south. Hope to see you all again next season.

It’s been a few weeks of great fishing since my last post. I’ve been busy fishing it up with all kinds of great people on the local streams and Crowley Lake. Conditions are warming up but the fish are still active and with safe handling and practices it’s still game on. The East Walker has been doing great all season and recently we have seen some good fishing with drys. The Upper Owens has also been fishing very well with nymphing in the am and by mid morning a lot of surface action. The fish at Crowley have been deep but that should soon change with fish moving into shallow cool water sources like McGee. I have a decent amount of open dates through July. Let’s fish!!

The Rivers and the lakes have been fishing great lately. With this week bringing the first heat wave of the summer we will see a little shift in water temps. Be aware of how you handle trout. Better to leave them in the water and keep photos to a minimum. We pulled off some good shots with quick releases and managed to let most of them go without a photo or even touching. One week out from Mono County General fishing season opener. Crowley Lake is full to the brim, the Upper and Lower Owens are fishing great. East Walker River is currently at 188 CFS which is perfect for some active trout. I still have availability for the weekend and through much of May. Come experience some great days on the water with us. Stop by for all your tackle needs. I’ll be there on Friday helping folks gear up. Looking forward to celebrating the long time tradition.

Fishing opener is right around the corner, only 23 days away. Come out and take part in a long time tradition of the Easter Sierra. Plenty of open dates. I can’t wait to be back out on our local waters daily. We have full watersheds and 2024 is sure to be a great season.

Lots of good times happening in Bishop right now. Come enjoy the scenery while fishing the Lower Owens. You won’t be disappointed. This fishery is in prime shape right now and it should last through April when flows typically ramp up. It’s as good as it gets.
