Nashville murals tend to be hot spots. The trick is to go first thing in the morning (bonus if it’s a weekday) and there is 0 line. While you’re visiting the wings, pop into the iconic for an early morning breakfast!

When in Asheville, be sure to also stop in the to view the most magnificent sunset over the mountains. Grab dinner at the Edison with a window seat or just grab a drink and watch from any of the viewing spots.

Visiting the Biltmore House and Estate has been on my bucket list for some time now and visiting the estate during Christmas time was the perfect girls trip with my mom.

The first day upon arrival in Asheville, we took the scenic route and made pit stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. What a beautiful time of year to visit!

Savannah Must See Stops:
*Savannah Ghostwalker Tour with Gene - Highly recommend as he has a wealth of knowledge from research and personal experience in the city’s police force rather than just a script to recite. His stories and photos were extremely informative and I recommend you do this on the first night of your trip so you can go back to some of the locations through your stay.

*Old Town Trolly tour- Book a hop on, hop off tour around the city for a day. Their trolleys hit each location every few minutes and you can take in so much more than on your own. Andy, their tour guide is phenomenal so see if you can hop on one of his trolleys. You won’t regret his wittiness!

*Savannah is know for their beautiful squares so be sure to grab a coffee and stroll through them all or find a park bench to people watch. Again, with the tours, you’ll learn some great history on some of these key spots. We were partial to Chipowea, Madison and Forsyth squares.

*Prohibition Museum - We found this museum super informative as well as interactive. If time permits, book the drink ticket too where you can enjoy a cocktail at their “hidden bar”. Don’t be surprised when you see many similarities between the government 100 years ago and today 😬

* is a luxury hotel located within the . It has such a cool vibe with an expansive art gallery right in the lobby. They even had a pianist playing lively music throughout the day. Definitely don’t miss the shopping, bars and restaurants all throughout the Riverside District as well as Broughton Street!

*We also enjoyed the River Street market and River walk. The cobblestone streets along the waterfront is filled with shops and eateries as you stroll.

*St John the Baptist Cathedral. If you have the chance, visit for a mass or at least a self tour. Don’t forget some cash for a donation to the church. They have giant stained glass windows that are just breathtaking in this magnificent Cathedral.

Savannah Eats: Some of our favorite places to stop for food/drinks…
*Our flight was delayed so we got in later than expected and just wanted to grab something easy. did just that!
*Started off our rainy morning at for pastries and warm drinks. They have a cute lounge that makes the cafe feel super homey. We felt like we were on an episode of Friends.

*Lunch was at and it was to die for. Everything on their menu was perfection. Definitely order their fried green tomatoes!

* is another go to for food/drinks. To be totally honest, we only popped in here to get out of the rain but my hubby very much enjoyed their local brew “yoga pants”.
*We had a long, cold day of exploring the city so we opted to stay at our hotel for a late night dinner at Each night they had live music and a hot spiced wine 😉
* is a fabulous little find near our hotel that serves specialty waffles and drinks. Our waffles were little slices of heaven - basically morning dessert. I recommend getting there early to beat the crowds, especially after mass on Sunday as it is right across from the church. We had the peach cobbler and apple cider waffles and enjoyed them right outside - yumm!
*If you’re looking for a brunch/lunch with a view, check out . This hidden gem is a rooftop bar in the with windows all around that open up to a patio overlooking the River. We recommend the “Tribble for your Troubles” a light and refreshing cocktail.
* - it’s a very popular one that requires a reservation well in advance so book this when you book your hotel! We had reservations for dinner but I imagine lunch is just a fabulous. Also check out their tavern below which is completely lit by candles. Great little spot for post dinner drinks!
