03/18/2021

After being closed for more than one year, magic is finally returning to the Disneyland Resort theme parks! Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park are planning to officially reopen to the public on April 30, with limited capacity.

Guests will soon be welcomed back to enjoy unforgettable attractions, see beloved Disney friends, shop for the latest merchandise, savor the world-famous food and drinks, capture fun photos and cherish special magical moments.

Guests can get ready to once again experience favorite attractions at both parks, from thrilling adventures like the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and the Incredicoaster to family-friendly experiences like Peter Pan’s Flight and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. New magic will be unveiled, too, as the reimagined Snow White’s Enchanted Wish opens to guests for the very first time.

From surprise appearances along Main Street, U.S.A., and Pixar Pier to playful interactions, characters from favorite Disney stories will entertain and delight. Beloved characters will pop up in new ways and sometimes in unexpected places as they remain mindful of physical distancing. Certain experiences that draw large group gatherings – such as parades and nighttime spectaculars – will return at a later date.

Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing, the Disneyland Resort will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that requires all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for guests ages 3 and up. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability and, until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks in line with current state guidelines. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon.

In the days leading up to the public opening on April 30, Disneyland Resort will invite cast members and members of the local community to be the first theme park guests after more than a year of closure. A Touch of Disney, the limited-time ticketed experience which has sold out, will go on as planned from March 18 through April 19.

Guests will also have the opportunity to stay in the middle of the magic as the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort plan to welcome guests once again, with a phased reopening. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa plans to reopen on April 29, with limited capacity. Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will plan to reopen May 2. Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel will reopen at a later date.

The health and well-being of guests and cast members remain a top priority. Just as the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort reopened with enhanced health and safety measures, operational changes will be in place at the theme parks and hotels to align with guidance from health authorities and learnings from our parks around the world to promote physical distancing, enhanced cleanliness and reduced contact. This guidance is fluid and applicable at any given time as community situations change. With that guidance, many factors will determine the timing of when offerings may be available. Cast members will be available to explain our new procedures and answer questions Guests may have.

Visit Disneyland.com often for the most current information, including future details about ticket sales and reservations, and which experiences are currently available or will be offered.* Stay tuned for additional reopening details, coming soon!

*Upon reopening, certain parks, hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings will be modified or unavailable, will have limited capacity and will be subject to limited availability or even closure, and park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.

Super Hero fans and their pals will soon discover what it’s like to sling a web and have super powers when Avengers Campus opens on July 18, 2020 inside Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort. WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is a new, action-packed adventure that invites you to put your web-slinging skills to the test!

At the Worldwide Engineering Brigade – also known as WEB – Tony Stark has assembled bright innovators like Peter Parker to invent new technologies and equip everyday people to become Super Heroes. WEB will house the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, the first Disney ride-through attraction to feature this iconic Super Hero.

The mission: team up with Spidey and help capture the out-of-control Spider-Bots before they wreak havoc on the Campus. During an open house at WEB, you will be asked to wear 3D glasses and test drive their latest invention, the WEB Slinger vehicle, which allows you to sling webs like Spider-Man. The attraction will give you a taste of what it’s like to have actual super powers as you help Spider-Man collect Spider-Bots that have run amok!

As previously shared, Tom Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man in the new attraction!

This family-friendly attraction blends physical sets and virtual environments, leveraging specially designed, innovative technology that detects body movements and gestures. You will reach out your hands and sling webs from your wrists, just like Spider-Man. There is no height requirement for this attraction, allowing aspiring young heroes to join the fun!

Are you excited to sling webs like Spidey? Stay tuned for more updates on Avengers Campus.

Whether you are first-timers to Magic Kingdom Park or pros at navigating the iconic park, everyone has a must-do attraction or experience that makes their vacation extra special. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or week-long adventure, Disney Cruise Line has a variety of tropical ports in the Bahamas and Caribbean that make for the perfect sun-filled (and fun-filled!) escape to get you through winter.

Cozumel-You can immerse yourselves in the culture and beauty of one Mexico’s most popular destinations. The thick green jungles and tranquil lagoons offer a unique setting for this unforgettable destination. You can explore ancient Mayan ruins, taste your way through the island’s delectable cuisine and encounter marine life as you snorkel and scuba dive.

St. Thomas-You will love exploring the natural beauty of this island getaway! You will experience stunning beaches, lush landscapes and scenic views. This beautiful destination is perfect for relaxation, but there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy – including golf, snorkeling and shopping.

Castaway Cay-A day at Castaway Cay takes relaxing on the beach to a new level – with a touch of Disney magic, of course. You can go sailing, paddle boarding or kayaking with your family, followed by a delicious lunch at Cookie’s BBQ. Or, you could sit back and relax at Serenity Bay while admiring the crystal blue waters of the Bahamas. With all the ingredients for the perfect beach day, all you need to think about is when to reapply your sunscreen.

There are even more ways to enjoy fun in the sun aboard a Disney Cruise! You can delight in the warm weather as you watch your favorite Disney movies poolside or take an exhilarating ride in the AquaDunk or AquaDuck! Once you've worked up an appetite, the open air of the upper deck is the perfect place for you to soak up some rays and enjoy a midday snack (ice cream, anyone?).

Aboard a Disney cruise, there are countless ways for you to relax and bid those “winter blues” goodbye! It’s time to say, “Goodbye, Winter … Hello, !”

Horses at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground To Receive Beautiful New Barn

Did you even know you could ride horses at Disneyworld??

Today, I'm excited to share exciting news for the horses at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The equine residents of both the Pony Farm and Tri-Circle-D Ranch are set to receive a beautiful new barn (which you can see pictured above). As you can see, Imagineers have redesigned the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, which will offer a modern stable and updated outdoor spaces and facilities for “The Happiest Horses on Earth.” The new ranch will maintain the history and spirit of the original Tri-Circle-D, welcoming guests to explore exhibits of classic Disney equestrian artifacts, some of which date back to the 1950s!

Starting Aug. 19, 2019, the Draft Horse Barn and Pony Farm will temporarily be inaccessible to Guests until the new barn debuts in Spring 2020. Guests can still enjoy Pony rides at the Trail Blaze Corral near the campground’s entrance, and the resort’s trail rides and carriage rides will continue to operate as normal.

Stay tuned for future updates on the resort’s new barn and its opening date.
