Alas, we have reached the end of our adventure. I do believe we will be returning to this beautiful island. Our last dives were a cruise ship that sank in the 1960s followed by a nice, easy drift dive to see more octopi than you would think would be in one ocean (12-15). Our friends at True Blue Bay and Aquanauts have been great and we will miss our new friends until the next time. Tomorrow we leave Grenada for home.

A day trip to Isla de Ronde on the north side of Grenada today. There was a ton of marine life and a bit of current. The surface interval was spent lounging in a crystal clear cove laughing with friends. The evening was again topped off with a stunning sunset and dinner on the dock.

Another incredible day in Grenada! We spent the day diving in the Marine Park area on the Caribbean side and it did not disappoint. Lots of variety of marine life and we ended the diving day with the sculpture garden where Malinda logged her 50th DIVE! It was an all day event and the lunch was great! (IYKYK)
This evening the resort brought in local food vendors for us to sample and choose from. A good time was had by all. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Another beautiful day diving Grenada! Nice wreck, healthy reef, some drift diving and a night dive. What more could you ask for in diving variety in one day?! Thank you Aquanauts for the picks on the dive sites. And we celebrated Chris' 500TH DIVE!

A warm, sunny dive day on Monday here in Grenada. Lots of critters and laughs with the Aquanauts crew. When the diving was done, there was good food, a "couple" of drinks and much more laughing. You should've been here!

Lots of new certs this week/weekend! Rachel was teaching SSI XR Extended Range with Trimix class with down in Pompano this week. Congratulations to Mike, who finished up his course on Thursday, after diving on four different wrecks!
This weekend, Carl, John, and Monica were teaching at Lake Phoenix! Congratulations to Matthew on his Dry Suit Certification, Robert on his open water certification, James for his Nitrox, Navigation, and Buoyancy certifications, and Carly on her Buoyancy certification! Everyone had a great time and is ready for MORE DIVING!!!!

Congrats to everyone on their work at the pool and lake this weekend! We had Mark and Robert working on confined for open water, James, Aubrey, and Carly completed Scuba Skills Updates, and Mitch and Shawn completed their OWI courses!

On top of the excitement of our Mares Trunk Show, Carl had some newcomers in the pool preparing for their new lives as scuba divers! After an excellent weekend getting the basics down they are off the Lake Phoenix to start Livin' the Dive Life!!

A great time was had by all in Cozumel during this year's annual Guys Dive! All the incredible marine life we come to expect in Cozumel and some of the largest angel fish you will find anywhere. Plus the great food and entertainment San Miguel has to offer. Lest we forget our amigo and divemaster, Choky! Thank you guys for another week diving in paradise. Until next year!!

This was a busy week/weekend at Lake Phoenix. In addition to the club celebration that we posted about yesterday, we had a few classes completed, so congrats are in order!

Babs and Sam did a great job certifying our two newest open water divers. Congratulations to Ken and Collin!

Tom co-taught with John while he finished up his Virginia Scuba Wreck Instructor Internship. Congratulations to Tim, Laura, Rick, and Terry for completing their wreck diver certifications (and to John for completing his internship)!

All the students did a great job, and hopefully had as much fun as taking the classes as we did teaching them! We are already lining up the next classes and have spots available, so if you want to learn about livin' the dive life, or wreck diving, stop by or give us a call!

This weekend was the Virginia Scuba Dive Club's annual Independence Day Weekend at Lake Phoenix!

We had a great turnout with folks diving Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Saturday afternoon we had our BBQ with hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the traditional BBQ sides! Thanks to Todd for being our official grillmaster!

Clara was kind enough to be the official ticket handler for our door prizes! Congratulations to Fred, Terry, Mohamad, and Ben for winning some great door prizes!

Lastly, Lake Phoenix did not disappoint with the fireworks Saturday night!

We have our next club cookout and celebration at the lake in September! You don't want to miss out, so sign up for the club!

Happy Fourth of July! We are open today if you are off work and want to stop by. We will be closing at 7PM to get to the fireworks before dark, but will be open normal 12PM-8PM on Friday.

We had a busy weekend at the lake! Congrats to Ellie, Ty, Kyle, and Ryan who finished up their Perfect Buoyancy, Underwater Navigation, and Night Diver specialties! Also, Mike worked on his XR Extended Range class to prep for his upcoming ocean dives to finish his course. We also a group of club members doing fun dives!

Today was full of adventures! Some of us went to the Mayan xunantunich ruins and then went cave tubing. Some of us went snorkeling at Hol Chen and shark ray alley! We’re sad to go home tomorrow but it’s been a great week with a lot of great memories! Here are some pictures from some of today’s adventures. I’ll post some more tomorrow!

Today was sadly our last day of diving in Belize; but it was awesome! We saw a hawksbill turtle, and an eagle ray! As usual, the folks at Ramon's Village Dive Shop did not disappoint this week, and treated us well. Can't wait to come back and dive with them again! Tomorrow will be a busy day as we head out for some excursions!

Today's dives in Belize were beautiful! Seas were calm and we saw lots of fish and marine animals! Some of us did some snorkeling by the pier and saw lots of big tarpon and other fish life! This evening we had a delicious dinner at the Blue Water Grill!

More fun adventures here in Belize on girls dive today! We did 3 dives, and saw lots of sharks, including some very curious nurse sharks! Katie also had a remora encounter. The waves have been a been sporty this week so far but today was calmer. We had a delicious dinner at Ramon’s, followed by Ice Cream!

Girls dive 2024 is going great!!! We did a couple of excellent dives this morning. unfortunately, it was too windy to go out this afternoon, but we hung out at the pool some and went exploring, before our wonderful dinner at Ramon’s.

First day of diving was great today! We saw nurse sharks, and reef sharks, an eagle ray, a turtle, and lots of pretty fishies! After dinner we saw some big tarpon and eagle rays by the dock. Tomorrow we will have some underwater pictures!!!

Girls dive 2024 has begun! We arrived yesterday in beautiful Belize! We had a relaxing afternoon and evening and will go out for our first dives of the week this morning!
