Have you hiked the Pygmy forest near Visit Mendocino County? It’s one of are favorite hikes in the area and it’s always good for finding the slimy, banana slugs hiding in the woods.

Special Family Adventure Edition!
Irish Beach and Elk in Mendocino County.
We spent the weekend in the quaint little towns of Irish Beach and Elk in Mendocino County. These towns are on the rustic and ruggid Pacific Ocean and are truly beautiful!
My sister and her husband Airbnb their home in Irish Beach where we stay. It’s a perfect spot for a couple wanting to get away or for a family of six with their dog traveling through. The decor and feel of this beach house is so cozy and warm. With a wood burning fireplace and a hot tub outside on the deck overlooking the beach and lighthouse, it’s a perfect spot for a getaway! They also have a private beach which you can access on property.

We also drove into Fort Bragg, which is a favorite of ours. We walked around town, went to a great brewery called Tall Guys on the main boulevard, and went to the towns farmers market.
A wonderful get away for any occasion. Or a wonderful family adventure just the same!
