After years of personally cooking for very famous Rock stars, Actors, photographers, Forbes Billionaires and a few other select people, I have been lucky to have lived in quite a few beautiful and exotic places around the world. That being said, there really is no place like home... especially if you are fortunate enough to live in Southern California. I have decided, after recently turning 50, t
hat I was going to change lanes, stay closer to home for awhile and share with others all of the beauty and fun there is to be had right here in my own backyard. So whether you already live in Southern California or are planning to visit, there is no shortage of activities to partake in and I’m just the person you need to help you create your dream stay... whether it’s a week or two, a weekend or even just a day. What I can offer is vast and varied, limited only by your time and our imagination. I will post photos, videos, and new ideas as my business continues to grow. *How about a day on the water in one of our charter boats. We can fish for fresh local catch or even set traps for lobster. We have everything from a 19 foot fishing boat, and access to 34, 36 or 41 foot sailing yachts. And of course if you would like me to provide gourmet snacks or meals I can. In addition to being a chef I am a licensed USCG Captain.
*Maybe you have always wanted to learn how to Scuba Dive. I can certify you in private, semi private or small group lessons culminating in a day or weekend trip to beautiful Catalina Island..
*Do you like to ride horses? I am a trained trail guide at one of the best stables in nearby Palos Verdes. Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or a full out run, we can have a great ride through the breathtaking trails on one of 24 quarter, Thoroughbred or Warmblood and Arabian Horses we have access to.
*If you want to venture a little further from town, how about a few days away pampered and chauffeured in a two bedroom two bath cabin in Big Bear. On a huge lot with mountain views and lots of privacy, our cabin next to Bear Mountain ski resort is the perfect place for your summer or winter weekend get away. A five minute drive to the lake in the summer and a 5 minute walk to the slopes in the winter.... or just stay at the cabin and chill in the mountain serenity. Your daily needs will be taken care of with your requirements as you wish.
*For anyplace you want to go, be it Big Bear or Catalina Island, we can take to the sky and fly there in my Turbo 182 RG Cessna that seats 4.
*Have you ever wanted to learn to fly fish? I can teach you the basics and take you on day trips or overnight trips to many destinations. I know where some of the best streams, rivers and lakes are. I even have partnered with someone who has his own huge pond complete with stocked trout and cabins to stay at. Fly fishing has been one of my passions for decades and recently I’ve even begun tying my own flies and would love to share this art with you as well.
*When was the last time you were up in the Santa Ynez Wine Country? Day trip or overnight... we will be your guide and transportation service and if overnight we will make arrangements per you requirements. I love the Santa Ynez area where I was lucky to assist with the opening of the Gainey Vineyard many years ago. During my frequent trips there I taught cooking and cared for the Arabian horses at a nearby ranch.
*And if you just want a private chef for catering intimate dinner parties or hosting a cooking class for close friends at your home, I’m your guy. I have trained and cooked with some of the best including Ken Frank of La Toque Napa, Wolfgang Puck (Spago), John Pierre Peiny (La Serre, L.A. Farm), and most recently whats his name from Raw.
