The outdoor climb scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to April 8th due to weather. Mother Nature decided to play a trick up us for April Fools Day, but we hope to see you at other Earth Month events as well as our rescheduled outdoor climb!

March is here and so are some updates about our regular Open Climb schedule...

1. Spring Break: We will be offering Open Climb hours on 3/10 and 3/12 from 4-7pm. As always, open to the community and FREE for MSU students.
2. Facility closures: During late March & early April, our schedule is cut back to accommodate high school track meets in Myers Field House.

With our winter rentals winding down, this is your reminder that Maverick Adventures offers outdoor equipment rentals for activities year-round. Gear rentals include bikes, hammocks, camping gear, and more! Rentals are open to the community and discounted for MSU, Mankato students.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for ice fishing on Madison Lake! Students joined for half-day sessions to learn the basics of ice fishing and practiced their new skills on the ice. Our crew caught a variety of fish throughout the day and stayed warm chasing after tip-ups and making s'mores around the campfire.

The annual Candlelight Hike at Minneopa State Park was a blast! The hike was sans-snow this year, but the views and company made for a cozy evening. The s'mores and hot chocolate helped too!

Experience one of Minnesota's favorite winter sports with Maverick Adventures. Our staff will provide transportation, instruction, and all the equipment you need to fish comfortably on the ice. This program is designed for participants to learn the basics, so no previous fishing experience is necessary. We will spend the day on Madison Lake; a favorite local spot to fish year-round for bass, walleye, crappie, pike, and more!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Sign up to enjoy the Candlelight Hike at Minneopa State Park with other Mavericks. Registration includes transportation from campus, a group hike, campfire snacks, and other trail amenities.

Have your own vehicle? No need to register, just carpool with your friends and meet us at the Group Campsite at 5pm or 7pm! A DNR State Parks vehicle permit is required to enter the park. Due to limited parking, carpooling is strongly encouraged.
