REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Sign up to enjoy the Candlelight Hike at Minneopa State Park with other Mavericks. Registration includes transportation from campus, a group hike, campfire snacks, and other trail amenities.

Have your own vehicle? No need to register, just carpool with your friends and meet us at the Group Campsite at 5pm or 7pm! A DNR State Parks vehicle permit is required to enter the park. Due to limited parking, carpooling is strongly encouraged.

No climbing next Wednesday-Sunday as we let our students & staff celebrate the extended Thanksgiving weekend. Regular climbing hours will resume December 2nd.

This Thursday, stop by the rock wall to celebrate Halloween with Maverick Adventures!

Open Climb is FREE for current MSU, Mankato students and open to the community. Current memberships will be honored and day passes may be purchased at the desk.

Costumes are optional but must not impede climber safety.

October is flying by, but not without a little adventure! On Friday, we enjoyed a beautiful day on the water. 36 students joined us at Red Jacket Valley Park to learn the ins and outs of canoeing and explore the park. We are enjoying the warm days while they last!

What a view! This group of friends explored the Red Jacket Trail this weekend using our Outdoor Rentals bikes. Their late night ride offered a glimpse of the northern lights and the Milky Way!

Join Maverick Adventures for a fall canoeing event! Experience the changing colors of Fall in Minnesota from the water during a group paddling session. The $10 registration fee provides participants with transportation from campus, equipment (canoe, paddle, PFD), a guided experience, and warm drinks. No previous canoeing experience is necessary.

This semester, Maverick Adventures has launched an Outdoor Rentals program!

This program offers students and the Mankato community access to outdoor equipment through short-term rentals to outfit adventures year-round. Our offerings include tents, sleeping bags & pads, cooking equipment, inflatable SUPs, fishing kits, snowshoes, and more! Current MSU, Mankato students receive discounted rates. 💜💛

Maverick Adventures strives to decrease barriers to participation in outdoor activities. Our Outdoor Rentals program is another step in increasing access to necessary gear and educational resources to enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly.
