MY STORY: When I first adopted my little min pin, Ruby Tuesday, back in fall 2015, I was extremely naive when it came to pet-inclusive travel. I had it in my head that the world was a pet-friendly place now, and it wouldn’t be much trouble shepherding her around on our adventures with us…boy was I in for a rude awakening!

Wrangling together all the different vaccination forms and pet passports was stressful enough–trying to find pet-friendly airlines, cruises, lodgings, tour excursions—you name it– was so bewilderingly difficult it downright stunned me at first.

BUT I persevered–and learned a thing or two in the process. After years of navigating all the different rules and regulations, I ended up unintentionally becoming an expert in pet-friendly travel. It eventually occurred to me how much I wished I’d had someone like me available to help when I first brought Ruby home.

That’s when I decided to put my knowledge and passion to good use. I filed the necessary paperwork and opened Roaming With Rover travel agency in the autumn of ‘22. My mission is to help make sure all my fellow animal lovers never have to endure the mania of planning pet travel on their own ever again.
