Look up in the Mansfield sky on Saturday night for a world record show!

What's that in the sky? It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a Guinness World Record attempt for the most remote-operated multi rotor drones launching fireworks simultaneously!

Please be aware of additional traffic near the Mansfield Sports Park, 500 Heritage Parkway S, at 9 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 28. Sky Elements Drone Shows will have a special 15-minute, record-breaking show that will be visible from the surrounding areas of Mansfield Sports Park.

We want to remind people not to park or stop in the street to view the display as it can create dangerous traffic situations.

Organizers expect the drone show to produce minimal noise, primarily a light buzzing sound. The show will be accompanied by music that viewers can tune in to 88.9 FM.

Calling all veteran artists!

The city of Mansfield would like to feature artwork created by veterans or current armed forces service members from Nov. 4 -15 at Mansfield City Hall (1200 E. Broad Street) in conjunction with our Veterans Parade and Salute.
We are seeking a total of 10 pieces of art. Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces for consideration. All mediums will be considered. Artwork with any theme appropriate for general audiences will be considered.

D-Day 80

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion. Several years ago we were honored to have Mansfield resident Elmer Ward as our Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal and sit down with him to hear his story. Mr. Ward was a World War II veteran who was one of the 160,000 American troops who took part in the invasion. Mr. Ward passed away in December 2022.
