Christmas in Manteo is truly one of the most wonderful times of year. This year will be even more special with a visit from the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree! 🎄

We are so excited to be partnering with the U.S. Forest Service and Fort Raleigh National Historic Site (Fort Raleigh) to host the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. The 78-foot-tall Red Spruce tree has been selected from the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. The National Forests in North Carolina and nonprofit partner Choose Outdoors, along with presenting sponsor 84 Lumber, recently announced the 2022 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree tour dates.

I know the cool kid on the block is Shibumi and honestly they were our first pick!
But after sitting next to one and hearing the flapping and seeing it collapse when there was no wind, we went looking for other options.

Do you guys ever wonder what the water in OBX looks like? It’s not dirty Myrtle and it’s not OC. Why pay to fly to the Caribbean when you have this right in your backyard? This was taken Saturday at Jeanette’s Pier in Nags Head, NC, 6 minutes from Coastal Cool.

The summer is fully booked, but the best kept secret of OBX is that the fall shoulder season (September and October) is just as nice, not as hot, the water is still warm, and it's not as crowded. But you didn't hear that from me!

The perfect stay for my husband and I! Very cute and clean condo in an awesome community. The views from the balcony were beautiful. Perfect location! You can walk to Blue Water Grill which was great or take a short drive to downtown Manteo, Nags Head and all that the island has to offer. Danielle was a great host - was in contact to ensure we had a smooth check-in and then let us enjoy our stay. Highly recommend this place. We'll be back!
