One of the reasons we like getting fuel at Curtis Grocery, LLC is because it is ethanol free. Our boats and jets skis love it because ethanol free fuel does a much better job not rotting out fuel lines during storage. Oh, and they got some good hot food in the store.

We ate good this week at Toledo Bend. On Wednesday we took a short ride to Toledo Town and ate at The Fisherman's Galley. At lunch time they had a really nice salad bar and a buffet with enchiladas, fried pork steaks, and vegetables. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a seafood buffet!

The pier and boat dock is lighted at night so you can make your way down easy. We did night fishing on the pier and caught some blue catfish. Watching the sun set while sitting in the dock was so calming.

Caught three blue catfish off our pier last night. Grilled them up- so good. Time to get out here for some good fishing.

On a typical trip to Toledo Bend we head north on Hwy 171, make a left at the Hornbeck traffic light, and wind up at Curtis Grocery on Toledo Bend just before turning onto Hwy 191. Aside from grabbing a few last-minute items it looks like they have one more reason for us to stop in. A fresh new bottle of warm-ya-up!

Look what came today in the ice and rain. Developed by Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Distillery, Traveller, a blended whiskey.

We sampled it last week and were very impressed!
