It’s mid-summer and the fishing options are off the charts: small stream walk and wade, fish the Cedar, float the Yakima, hike into an Alpine Lake, fish a Puget Sound beach, or throw poppers for Bass and Bluegills. Summers are too short!

A quick early season River and stream report: the early season prospects have been severely limited by high water. The Yakima, Cedar, and most other rivers are ripping sky high. The goods news is lots of water is good for the fish- not always so good for the angler. Hopefully over the next few weeks things will start to settle in.
I have a few openings left for summer walk and wade and float trips. Give me a shout if interested. Picture is a rare sunny day on the upper middle fork Snoqualmie

May 28th is the general River & Stream opening day. Most rivers and creeks are currently swollen with snow melt run-off but it won’t be long until opportunities abound. I have some open dates for walk and wade trips on Secret Creeks or our local gem the Cedar River!

Spring has almost Sprung and with it lots of Trout Fly fishing opportunities. Ask any guide all over the west: How can I improve my fly fishing success?
