Here's a New Year's Eve tradition that we absolutely LOVE. In Mexico, people walk around their homes (or even around the block) with an empty suitcase, symbolizing their desire for new travel experiences in the upcoming year.

EUROPE: Expectation vs. Reality
It's not secret that the number of tourists visiting Europe in the last two years has skyrocketed. If you're planning on vacationing here, one of the best things you can do is have the right expectations.
Many photos you see are taken in the perfect spot where people will wait in a (LONG) line to get an unobstructed photo. Or, they use photoshop to remove the other people. It's true that in the low travel season, sites are definitely less busy, but take a look here and have the right expectations about what sites like the Trevi Fountain (seen here) actually look like during high season.
The Northern Lights? Yes, please!
Where and when are the best times to see the Northern Lights? We've got your answers...
1️⃣ Fairbanks, Alaska: Visit from late August to April for the best displays
2️⃣ Svalbard, Norway: a trip from mid-November to February doubles your chances to see the lights as they are in perpetual darkness during this time (so you could actually see them during the day!)
3️⃣ Iceland: a perennial favorite, make your plans for September-April for optimal viewing
4️⃣ Finland: this country sees about 200 nights a year of displays (plan on visiting between August through April)
5️⃣ Canada, Scotland, Sweden, Greenland and more! (ask us for more details if you're interested in these destinations...)
