Safe to say that seashells have character lately! Bring your garden tools, rakes, & shovels cause we be digging baby! In my opinion we are finding great stuff for what we are being given!

This weather is the polar opposite of January! We went from cooler than normal to above average instantaneously! Warm temperatures, light winds, and plenty of sunshine! Let’s go have a great day on the water together!

If you like digging we got you covered! Working the piles is where it’s at right now! Scored some nice cones, tulips, murex, & a well traveled junonia! If digging is not your thing then prey for some strong northwest wind to get the beach going again!

The “Black Out Tours” are an amazing experience for those seeking a true adventure! With the islands to ourselves, amazing beach exposure getting out ahead of the negative low tides, and stunning sunrises are part of what makes this a special tour for you and your group!

One more month before Shell Island closes to bird nesting season. We will be visiting this island over the next few weeks until the closure. Low tides next week will have this special place fully exposed for us to explore. Mention when booking that you would like to see Shell Island and if the day is right we will head out there!

Hope everyone is staying warm! Keewaydin should be on fire next week! We have 2 tours heading over there. One on the 29th and the other one is on the 31st both with a 6:15am departure! Let’s go shelling!

Can we please have our Florida back! I’m ok with the snowbirds, just not ok with snow in my state! Can’t complain too much because these cold fronts are replenishing our shell stash! Thanks to all my guest that show up in shorts and tell me it’s not that bad!

Outer sandbars catch the big shells before they ever get a chance at making it on the beach. That’s why negative low tides are so important when looking for these size shells. New moon negative low tides start back up early next week! Let’s go see what’s washing in for you!

From Keewaydin to Shell Island and everywhere in between Melissa and Mike scored some beauties! These early birds got out ahead of the sun and a great negative low tide! Cones, the normal goodies, big conchs, with a cherry J on top! This Junonia is museum quality, an absolute stunner! Another great day in the islands with amazing people!

Stoked to be heading back to the Florida Keys this summer! I’m already over this cold weather! Snorkeling for seashells is an experience that every nature lover should have. Because in my opinion it goes way beyond the shells. Anemone, urchins, sea stars, tropical reef fish and live bottom are part of a world we don’t often get to see. Collecting beautiful unoccupied horse, milk, and queen conches, sea biscuits, magpies, Caribbean vase, and many other Florida native species is just a bonus!

Another great day on the water with amazing guest! Sunrise session to shell island! I remember a day when I would take a pic like this and you could barely see the Cape Romano dome house in the background. Now you can barely see it if you are right up on it!

This fog has been something else! One of the harder days in my career today! Most captains in the 10k would probably agree! But we had an amazing day making memories with seashells!

So stoked to get the sled back! Maintenance put it in the shop for 2 weeks but I broke her out a few days ago! Feeling good, ready for the new year! Thanks to .joshparr and for helping a brother out while I was down! Let’s go see what Mother Nature has washing in for you!

Great day at Shell Island! This apparatus kinda blew my mind today! The ability to find shells underneath the surface was amazing! Sometimes you have such a short window with access to the good stuff! The aqua scope definitely helps you maximize your efforts in productive zones even after they have gone underwater!

Cones, junonias , a scotch bonnet, moon snails, top shells, big whelks and horse conchs, you name it, we found a good amount of it! Even a cabrits murex! Tides are good for the rest of the week, let’s go see what Mother Nature has washing in for you!

Check out this stunner! I’d rather be lucky than good any day! Lucky for Meaghan she is both! Are you feeling a little shellous, you’re not alone! Golden fricken banded cone! God I want one of these! And it’s museum quality, one of the nicest I’ve ever seen!

The Gold-Banded Cone is a rare seashell found in Southwest Florida. Despite its unique appearance, it's not a distinct species, but rather a rare color variation of the Alphabet Cone (Conus spurius). The freak shells just keep washing in! Let’s go see what Mother Nature has to offer you!

Another great day in the 10k! Minus the polar vortex we had to endure this morning! It was a great tour full of fun discoveries. So many live shells which is always awesome to experience. We are starting to see many mollusk on the flat getting ready for the winter breeding season! Pretty soon egg casings will be full of baby mollusk, a sight that never gets old in my opinion!

We come into some great tides at the end of next week! Mother Nature is also spinning up cold fronts on the regular right now. We might get the stars to align with strong northwest winds coupled with full moon low tides! Let’s go see what’s washing in for you!

Have you ever heard the saying “happy wife, happy life!”? Well the same thing pertains to happy guest also! Tides are low and we are back at Keewaydin for the next few days! Got some availability this week if you’re itching to get out there!

Thanks to .joshparr and everyone who sent me pics today of how fun it was out there while I was getting a tooth extracted at the dentist! Getting old is fun but painful! Hoping the tooth fairy leaves a stack under my pillow tonight!
