A little update from our neighbors to the south. Glad to hear Vilas County finally got some snow.

Our large home on Lake Gogebic is available Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. Three night minimum. We can sleep up to 14. 10 beds, two full baths. Please DM me with the number in your party and I will share our rates.

We have availability Jan 13 to 17. We can sleep up to 14. 10 total beds. Linens, towels, paper products provided. Pantry is stocked with coffee, tea, olive oil, cooking spray and a bunch of other items for convenience. Trail access via Lake Gogebic. We just did two days of riding. Trails currently thin near Bergland but it gets better as you go north. And we've been picking up some lake effect everyday. DM for rates.

About 4 inches of lake effect overnight. About 5 inches of depth in the backyard. Not alot of help, but it is still snowing and it's cold. ❄️🕺❄️💃❄️

The lower bedroom got an upgrade. Two Full beds replaced with two Queen beds. The lone Full bed got a new frame, fluffy mattress pad, headboard and comforter. It's cozy, but comfortable.

The pier refresh is complete! Lots of work, but it will be so awesome to see it over the water in the Spring. We used Cabot Deck Correct to match the house deck. Replaced 4 or 5 boards that were starting to rot and replaced one busted up dock bumper.

It's snowing and blowing on Lake Gogebic! With the warm temps a couple of days ago, all the snow slid off the roof and cleared the top of the railing. Looks like we have at least another 4 fresh inches. 6 to 12 in the forecast over the next two days and a nice cold snap to hopefully freeze the wet areas on the trails. We haven't seen an ice thickness update yet and we haven't caught any sleds passing by on the camera. God Bless the first people that take to the ice. Video view of the lake in the comments. 👇

Ice watch: We've watch the ice disappear everyday. It was very windy yesterday. Calm this morning and ice has formed on the shoreline again.

As far as snow, maybe another 4 or 5 inches yesterday. Snow in the forecast for the next couple of days but then a warm up on Sunday with possible rain. Then a nice cool down again. Let's all hope the rain stays away.

Ice watch! Water is still rolling. Plenty cold so hopefully we will see ice soon. A good 6 inches of fluffy lake effect.

Please, please, please let this be reality for the upcoming season.

Long Range Guidance is building the snow pack in a way we've not seen in some time, at least the last several winters. If this keeps up it could have big implications for the winter going forward.....Let It finally snow.

The view from the lake got a face-lift this past week! So many spindles!

We came up for a couple of work days. Piers are in, tiki and deck lights are out, carpets shampooed, linoleum floors steam cleaned and bunch of other deep cleaning done. A couple of deer came to visit tonight. We are ready for opening walleye fishing!

-Snowfall Forecast Through Monday Night-

Never-ending snowfall forecasts continue as strong northwest winds will allow for persistent lake effect snow showers over the next 24-36 hours. This is additional totals as of noon Saturday. Light snow showers will bring more snow for some in IA/MN/WI before midnight Saturday night. Isolated amounts of 1-2' is expected for some along Lake Superior. Heavy lake effect down by Lake Michigan as well. Travel will be impacted, not just from accumulation, but blowing and drifting snow as well.
