310 miles for the weekend + lots of smiles!
Left Marenisco took trail 1 up the side of Gogebic and it was beautiful. 13N going towards Rockland was great but a little thin in corners just after you crossed trail 12 13N became a "motocross" track but it was a blast nonetheless. Headed over to Rousseau Bar after Henry's and it was great riding. Going home was good; fresh snow was flying and we caught up with 4 groomers. Thank you so much to the clubs putting in the work!

Yesterday (Saturday 12th) we hit the trails before 7am and they didn't disappoint. The fresh 8-10 inches we got really helped the trails! Trail 1 (Near Bergland) and trail 100 (south of lake Gogebic) got a little thin but still rideable. Besides that it was awesome to see businesses busy and people out having a blast. Lake Gogebic has more then one ice heave we found 3. Be safe out there.

The good, the bad, the ugly as of 1-8-25 🙃
Got little lady out on the trails today for lunch at Rogers Bar which was delicious as always. Trails look beautiful but are deceiving; they are thin on snow and got lighter towards Watersmet. There are plenty of bumps, ruts, ice and gravel but clubs are doing thier best. Overall forest service roads on the way back were a bit better but still early season riding. Hoping for more snow coming into some busy weekends here.

Message from this weekends guests love hearing from you guys!

1 was great about 10 mi North and fair near Silver City. Take the road near Lake of Clouds. Trails coming into Bergland fair and bad close to town. Southboundary 11 and 102 are both awesome so advise taking those to LOC both ways.
We had a great time and both of the new guys in the group were very impressed with Snow City Getaway and both of you. It was a successful weekend glad we did it! THANK YOU TWO!

We've had guests asking what they can do when up here with these conditions here's a great list! Thanks North Country Snowmobile Club UP and Hamilton's North Coast Adventures for this easily accessible list!

Ope, we're suggesting you'se guys better not be adventuring out on the sled trails rights now. We've had light rain, 34*F temps, 39* high today, more light rain/drizzle through midday. Trails along road ditches will be very hazardous with ponding from the rain/melting. We did seem to get spared somewhat with the heaviest rain!! At the end of this post are google map locations of GIANT waterfalls to come visit in lieu of riding!

ARE TRAILS RUINED? NO! Trails along roadway ditches and in the swamps will need major attention once the flowing water subsides. Trails in the woods on good surfaces will rebound quickly with some fresh snow, much of our Porcupine Mountain trails remain WHITE! Early January riding is totally in the realm of reality as long as we get a good blast of snow.
