Six years ago today Alfredo and I went on our first trip to Disney World together and absolutely fell in love with everything Disney! We’ve just returned from our 17th trip together and to say that we’ve been bit by the Disney bug is an understatement! Story Book Dining with Snow White at Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge was hands down the BEST dining experience we had on this trip! The food was incredible and the character interactions were absolutely perfect! Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort has the coolest Coney Island style boardwalk with amazing restaurants like The Flying Fish and Trattoria Al Forno and great nightlife! Don’t miss Abracadabar or my favorite, Jelly Rolls! The BoardWalk Inn is in walking distance from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios and is also on route with the brand new Skyliner! @ Disney's Boardwalk Resort

Disney World has some amazing pools and Port Orleans French Quarter is no exception! One of the unique features of the Port Orleans resorts is that they were constructed on the banks of the Disney-created Sassagoula River, a gentle 2½ mile waterway which winds its way through lush woods, past the Treehouse Villas and the Saratoga Springs DVC Resort, to Lake Buena Vista and the Disney Springs shopping, dining and entertainment complex, which is the new name for the Downtown Disney area.

The fictional Sassagoula Steamboat haulage company which plies the waters around the Mississippi delta also operates a range of very real water craft in Florida. The “Sassagoula River Cruise” is a free service which ferries guests from both of the Port Orleans resorts all the way down the river to Disney Springs. The twenty minute boat trip is a very pleasant and relaxing alternative to road transport and shouldn’t be missed. @ Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter
