Your Captain, Chris, is a certified Coast Guard OUPV Charter Captain. Originally from Connecticut, Chris majored in Economics at Pomona College and began a career in PR. But he decided his true calling was teaching, and he returned to school for a Masters of Education at Loyola Marymount. Now

, when Chris isn't out on the Blue Moon, he teaches second grade at an inner city school in Los Angeles, and is especially gifted at teaching about nature and marine environments. About Marina del Rey
Marina del Rey is one of the largest man-made small boat harbors in the U.S., with 10 marinas berthing about 5,300 ships. It is just above LAX, and borders Venice Beach on the North. With the famous Venice board-walk and Santa Monica's many clubs and restaurants nearby, Marina del Rey is the perfect destination for a full day and night of fun. Directions to Blue Moon
Marina del Rey is just north of LAX and is reached by the 90 (The Marina Freeway) which connects to Interstate 405. You will meet the Blue Moon at the dock at Burton Chace Park. Parking information will be sent with your booking.
