If you're wondering what gift to give your friends or family, Marinette County's 2025 Annual Park Stickers are now available online and at the Facilities & Parks Department office on the 1st floor of the Marinette County Courthouse. These stickers make great stocking stuffers and are the perfect gift for yearlong enjoyment of the great outdoors.

Stickers are not available in the libraries at this time.

Meet Horseshoe Falls, one of 15 waterfalls in Marinette County, The Waterfall Capital of Wisconsin! Horseshoe Falls is named for both the arc of the current along the bedrock, as well as the bend in the river. Horseshoe Falls is also located near our equestrian trails, but horses are not allowed on the the trail to the waterfall. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a conservation workforce that was put in place as part of The New Deal by President Roosevelt in 1933. The goal of the CCC, more commonly known as C’s, was to conserve America’s natural resources and to salvage the young men in America’s workforce. Single men aged 18-25 could enlist with the C’s and were compensated $30 a month, $25 of which would go to their families while the remaining $5 was given to the worker to keep. Military style meals and lodging were provided to the C’s while they worked to fight wildfires, plant trees and build camps. Many structures and camps can be found throughout the United States. Marinette County is the home of Goodman Park, in Dunbar, WI, which houses several structures that were build by the CCC in the 1930’s! It's a pelican party in Marinette, WI 🎉 These American White Pelicans are on layover on their way back to Canada for the summer. Fun fact: a group of pelicans is called a pod but when fishing they're a fleet. They have a 9' wingspan, making them some of the largest birds in the North American sky.
