This little cabin is such a great getaway! We traveled from Florida to get some mountain air and let our puppy have some room to roam. This stay gave us all of that and more! We enjoyed the fire pit, the cozy living room, and front patio with views of the river and mountain. If you like hiking then there is a trail just off of the property or there are places to hike within an hour away. We particularly enjoyed Hawksbill and Linville Falls. Joyce was very communicative and responded quickly to any questions we had about the house. We didn’t have many as she has stocked the house with pretty much anything you could need. We loved this little cabin and hope to come back again!

Wonderful, peaceful cabin. Stayed three nights and wish it had been longer. Everything was perfect. The river view, the fire pit, the decor and layout, etc. I highly recommend booking this cabin for a relaxing cabin that is tucked away but easy to get to restaurants and attractions in Marion, Spruce Pine, Little Switzerland, Burnsville and Linville Falls.

This cabin should definitely be called “A Little Paradise in the NC mountains”. It has everything you need! There is a rushing river, gorgeous Mountain Views, and most important, peace and tranquility. The cabin itself comes with all of the amenities you could want. The furnishings are beautiful and cozy. The kitchen is great and the beds are so comfortable! There is even a fabulous fire pit outside that is stocked with firewood (which was so wonderful after our day hike at Linville Falls). We can’t thank our host, Joyce, enough for her prompt communications and the wonderful accommodations. It was truly a great experience and we can’t wait to return and stay here again.

This was one of the best stays we’ve had using Airbnb! Perfect location for all the things we wanted to do. Just a short drive to Linville Falls where we spent a day hiking. Mt. Mitchell is also nearby who has a beautiful golf course and great trails. Our dog loved the river by the cabin so we got to spend some time exploring around. Joyce was an amazing host, and we had more than we needed at the cabin which is always nice. We can’t wait to come visit again!

Fantastic!! This place was very clean, and was just what we were looking for. Very nice fire pit area stocked with wood. The sounds of the River down below the cabin from the front porch was very nice. Beautiful area!

Easily the most impressed that we have been with an Airbnb stay. Great private location with a creek to dip in and a National Forest Trail adjoining property (swing bridge not a long walk). Being at the end of the road adds privacy and plenty of room for our dog to wander off leash. Joyce provides everything you need, very responsive and the cabin is very clean with all supplies included. Having a fire at night with firewood included also very nice with a beautiful walkway to the pit from the cabin. Furniture and appliances are all new.

The cabin was wonderful! At the end of the road, it is a bit away from town but is really peaceful. The river nearby is gorgeous and refreshing on a warm day. Inside the cabin is cozy and it had everything that we needed for our stay. I was excited that dogs are welcome. My pup had a blast running around in the yard. Joyce was a fantastic host; she always responded very quickly and gave us lots of great suggestions for activities around town. We would be excited to book the cabin again when we are in the area!

We loved our stay at Joyce’s cabin! It was brand new and well stocked(including s’mores stuff). The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed coffee on the front porch and the giant fire pit! There was also a nice trail that lead to a pretty pedestrian bridge. We explored the river down below the cabin too. For the outdoorsy family, you could certainly spend a day just around the property and if the weather is bad there is a big covered porch and big TVs in every room should you want to hide out. We loved how close it was to downtown Marion or Lake James. Joyce was a great host for any need we had, we will certainly be back. Great getaway for a couple or family!

Our stay at the cabin was nothing shy of delightful. Joyce was a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive. The cabin is brand new with all the modern amenities you could want. The walk down to the water is a little steep, but totally worth it! Our dog and toddler loved playing in the shallow water while husband fished. Views for days from each room but just 10 minutes from town make this spot so special. We can't wait to return!
