Hello everyone!

We are Briley & AJ Lenkaitis, the new owners of 4-Ways Dairy Barn- At Lake of Egypt, previously known as Sweet Thangs & Such. My brother, AJ & I currently own 4-Ways Dairy Barn in Eldorado, IL and we are so excited to be adding a second location to our business!

We love spending our summers enjoying Lake of Egypt and we are excited to keep everyone "cool" this summer. Keep an eye out for new menu items & sweet treats coming this season!

What was supposed to be our engagement photo turned into our marriage announcement photo rather abruptly. For those that haven't heard our story, after two years of dating, we married exactly 24 hours before Allison reported to her military deployment to Iraq in 2003.

For those that know us best know that we rarely do things for societal standards, or easily, or without risk involved. Our marriage is a testament to the way we live! 😄 Cheers to 20 more, babe!

Cabin family, Rocco was found having a heat stroke today. Michael fashioned a blanket gurney and it took all 4 of us to get him inside. He is stable but weak and almost 7 years old. We could use a little prayer for our favorite mascot and door greeter. 🙏

I may have mentioned (a zillion times) some big changes coming... and I'm not just talking about Cabin #3. For years, I knew there was something bigger I am called to do. After hours of mowing, running and other creative thinking time, I have redesigned our business model. Dam Near Lake of Egypt Cabins is now 1/3 of Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals, LLC. SIVR consists of the following: 🛏 Owned property (as of now, that is Dam Near Cabins, but may be others in the future) 🛏 Professional Hosting Services by Allison. An all-inclusive co-hosting service for other vacation rental owners (now hosting 4 other properties). I stay on brand- host the best of the best so you will always know you are going to get an exceptional experience when booking one of our properties. 🛏 SouthernIllinoisVacationRentals.com where I invite all other vacation rentals in southern Illinois to list their properties. This will allow direct booking with the owner and no commission expenses to the guests or hosts. Of course, all of my properties are included on the site as well. Greetings! My name is Allison and I’m owner and CEO of Dam Near Lake of Egypt Cabins, LLC. Husband Michael and I moved to southern Illinois from a small town in central Illinois (Newton) in 2005. This move came just after I finished a deployment to Iraq with the Illinois National Guard (shout out to 1544th TC!) . We lived on Lake of Egypt for the first 10 years and we absolutely loved it. We took full advantage of the new chapter in our lives in so. IL. by treating ourselves like tourists. From Shrimp Fest in Golconda to the Wine and Arts Festival in Murphysboro, we have covered it all! Fast forward to present day... we decided to trade in our lakefront property for 11 acres so that our kids could be free-range chickens.

We love sharing the hidden gems of southern Illinois and our cabins make it very obvious that we are proud of our community- decorated with local artisan work with the option to purchase and filled with tourist magazines if you are ready to explore.
