The muscles in the chest, the rock clasped in his hand, the veins raised on the skin… Carved out of a single block of Italian marble, David stands over 17 feet tall. Michelangelo was only 26 years old when he created this masterpiece that makes stone seem alive… Beautiful is an understatement.
