The merchants of Downtown Marion realize this extremely cold winter weather has made it challenging to get out and "walk about" for their annual January/February Winter Walk About event.

Therefore, the deadline to complete the Winter Walkabout in Downtown Marion has been extended to the end of March. That means more days to get those playing cards punched at participating locations!

And don't forget to pick up your t-shirts at the Visitor Center, 198 W. Center Street when your playing cards are complete. Happy winter walking in Downtown Marion!

Enjoy breakfast while supporting community children and youth at the annual Marion Noon Kiwanis’ Pancake Day. All the pancakes you can eat! It’s a Marion Tradition held at Tri-Rivers Career Center, 2222 Marion Mt. Gilead Road.

This year's event is Saturday, March 8, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. $7 for Adults. Kids 4 and under eat FREE. Save $1 if you purchase your ticket before the event from a Kiwanis or Altrusa member or at Southland Barbers or Tri-Rivers Career Center.
