The newly remodeled kitchen features lovely granite tops, beautiful new white subway tile backsplashes, brand new microwave/convection and regular ovens, new electric stove top, side-by-side refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and is fully stocked with stainless ware, dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, pots, pans and much more. While we have things like salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and tea, if you find yourself in need of anything, Pioneer Market is less than ½ mile away. The more formal living room offers lovely views from the picture window and is perfect for playing games with the family, reading or enjoying coffee next to the fireplace. There is a formal dining room in addition to the large dining table and chairs outside on the huge deck which runs the entire backside of the house and offers views of the mountains across the town. Even the person using the BBQ gets a great view! FiftyFifteen Mariposa couldn’t be in a better location. It’s one of the last houses near the end of a short cul-de-sac, with its own privacy and quiet and yet within a few short walking blocks to excellent restaurants, galleries, shops, spas, fitness or business centers. Unique to Mariposa is the oldest courthouse west of the Mississippi. Built in 1854, the Mariposa County Courthouse is just a few blocks away (tours are available), as is the town library and the roof of the original old Mariposa Jailhouse can be seen from our deck. Walk downstairs outside and under the great tree, you’ll find a patio with benches and a large backyard perfect for playing croquet, badminton, ping pong, bocce or horseshoes. The small garden contains rosemary, grapevines and several types of fruit trees – all there for your enjoyment. Plenty of games, playing cards and puzzles are provided plus DVDs for children and the entire family. The kitchen counter opens up into the family room and has 4 bar stools, two armchairs, a long comfy sofa and wide ottoman. Pop some corn and make some real family memories you won’t soon forget! In the front closet you’ll find a pair of walking sticks in case you’d like to explore the Stockton Creek trail just up the street. You’ll find more information once you arrive. The YARTS bus stop (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) is a few blocks away. When visiting Yosemite Park using the YARTS bus you can keep your vehicle at the house or park there at the park and ride, and leave the driving to a professional while you sit back and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sierra foothills, Yosemite and the Merced River, and plan your day in the park with your family. Next to that is the Mariposa County Park featuring a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts and skateboard park. The Pioneer and Gold Rush Museum are also located close by.
