Come visit Adeline's House of Cool! We rent year round and would love to host your next gathering. We can comfortably host up to 12 guests within our 6 bedroom/3bathroom estate.
Adeline’s comes with a fully stocked kitchen and separate dining area. There is a custom built farmhouse table that can seat the entire group. Littered with antique furniture and vintage wood work pieces salvaged from early 1900 Chicago built homes, you won't be able to stop looking at all of the details.
Towards the left of the dining room is the large game room designed with fun in mind. Equipped with a pool table, 20 foot custom made bar, piano, antique slot machine & pinball machine.
There is a juke box carefully curated by Brian, who designed and dreamed up this home. As an artist with a vision, he picked the music meant to be playing to experience the home from his perspective. There is also a great sound system that you can use to make it your own experience, too.
The 20 foot long bar was built to withstand the long nights. Brian made all of the staindglass that you see within the home, as well as designed the bar, all the decor and even the stools! Behind the bar are real bar coolers so you don’t have to run to the fridge for your next drink :)
Behind through the bar’s French doors lives the hot tub. This hot tub room used to be an actual cabin with a fire place and beds. We gutted the ‘mini cabin’ and dug ourselves a luxury 20 foot long hot tub that runs 6 feet deep. Along the window is a cushioned bench that allows you to take a break from the heat, but not leave your friends!
The hot tub comes with the spa jets and changing color lights, and adjustable temperatures. Because of the size, this hot tub doubles as a small pool during the summer. Our family renters love this option for the kiddos.
Between the bar room and the hot tub is a 4 season room. It has a large table and is fully screened in. Just outside of this room is out deck and another dining area that comes with a grill and swinging benches.
This outdoor porch is literally an architectural anomaly. It wraps around the whole home, twice and comes to totaling just over 5,000 sqft. You read that right. The first floor wrap around porch has 6 entrances into the home! It literally doesn’t end :)
The front entrance is palatial. This has been the focus of our additions lately. Brian has commissioned and designed custom hand carved white French Doors to greet you upon arrival.
Throughout the porch you will find 5+ cozy spots to stop, sit and drink your morning coffee or watch the sun go down. Swinging benches, tables, a hammock, grill, lights, pictures, fountains, scenic grounds for exploration and statues all around.
Once you step onto the porch you will see the ‘outdoor room’ we are building. Louisiana themed, bringing the party to the porch in mind.Notice these pictures were taken right before we completed our stained glass awning installation.
We finally completed the awning in 2017. Brian’s daughter, Kerbi, a team of friends and Brian spent a long weekend adding each piece of glass, each color perfectly chosen and organized.
The colorful reflection lights up the white doors and creates a celebratory entrance.
Once you enter the home, you are greeted by a hotel concierge style front desk, vintage phone booth, and an unending number of surprises to keep you busy for your entire stay.
A large staircase leads you up to the second floor where there is a great room to sit back and relax next to a large stone fireplace, or watch some tv or just do a whole lot of nothing.
Relax next to a real bear, and feel at home in the country. Take special notice to all of the stained glass, also made by Brian.
We special ordered this victorian sofa to greet you at the top of the stairs. She invites you to sit and relax near the fireplace, and work out all of your life’s thoughts.
There is a long decorative hallway that leads you to each other bedrooms. Each of the 6 bedrooms have an entrance to the wrap around porch on the second floor. Below are some pictures of the bedrooms, and the porch.
