It's Eagle Watch season. There are many places in our area to look for Eagles. Illini State Park is a great one! Send us a photo if you've seen one.

🦅Did you know: Typical Weight: A new nest can weigh up to 1,000 pounds (450 kg).

🦅Older Nests: Over time, as eagles add more materials annually, nests can grow to weigh 2,000 pounds (900 kg) or more.

🦅Record Nest: The heaviest bald eagle nest on record was found in Florida. It weighed approximately 4,409 pounds (2,000 kg) and measured 20 feet deep and 9.5 feet wide.
