Sundays are for leisurely strolls. And what better place to take in all of the sights and sounds and scents than Magic Kingdom. I’m usually in such a rush to get to that first attraction that I don’t take the time to slow down and truly take in all of the beauty of the parks! But I highly recommend it!
New Encanto Show at Epcot
The new Encanto Show in Epcot at Walt Disney World is so fun! Lots of audience participation and even a chance to dance with Mirabel and Bruno. There’s plenty of seating on the lawn in front of the stage as well as a few tables with seats off to the side of the stage that are in the shade and still offer a decent view of the show. #encanto #encantodisney #newstuff #waltdisneyworld #disney #epcot

Our Tiana Bayou Adventure!
✨I was able to get a multipass LL twice during our trip! I booked right at 7 am, 7 days in advance. (A perk of being a resort guest. I also got into the 1 pm virtual Que the one time I tried.✨The ride is super cute! Very light hearted and fun. I would have liked for them to add the Shadow Man at the big drop but probably better for little ones who may already be scared about the drop that it is not so foreboding like Splash was. ✨ The Tiana themed food was honestly disappointing. Beignets were dry. Sweet potato fries pretty bland and flavorless as were the shrimp and grits. The popcorn combo just didn’t work for me.✨Port Orleans French Quarter stole my heart. What an amazing resort! A beautiful, peaceful retreat after a long park day. Missed early entry at Hollywood Studios yesterday! 0/10 do not recommend!
Up early this morning to try to figure out this new Lightning Lane system for our upcoming trip next week. I found it pretty user friendly:
-the my Disney experience app prompted me for purchase as soon as I opened it this morning at 7 am
-the dates were available for the day of check in (July 31) and I could select any date within a two week window of that date
-price does vary by day and by park. Magic is the most expensive option. For one day of our trip it was $27 per person, for another day Magic was $25 per person. The Saturday we will be in Animal Kingdom it was $16 per person.
-next I had to select my party. It will only allow you to select guests who are eligible. For us, we are annual passholders with an upcoming resort reservation so we could select for our whole window. If you are staying off property, you will have to wait until 3 days prior to your park visit to purchase and book your first 3 rides.
-next you pick the park. There is not a multipack option as there was with genie plus but you can use it to book rides at another park if you have a park hopper ticket once you are in the parks and AFTER you have used your first prebooked selection
-it is a tiered system. The more popular rides are in tier 1 and you will only be able to choose 1 of those rides. In the next tier you choose 2 rides.
-I did one day at a time. I feel like I read that you could do multiple days in one transaction, but I didn’t quite figure that out and was worried I would lose my current selections and I had good ones 😁
-the app will show you suggested times, you can modify those times to better suit your schedule. I found the suggestion to be pretty spot on for how you should navigate the parks, but I did modify a few to accommodate other things I know we want to do. It also showed my dining reservations so I could see how the ride times were lining up with those.
-I was paying with a Disney Gift card which was a little more complicated as you have to re enter those ea
