Southern Morgan County is cleaning up from extensive storm damage last night and many homes and businesses are still without power this morning in areas including Paragon, Martinsville, and Morgantown. Call ahead to verify plans and please take caution to avoid areas that sustained damage.
As of this post, State Road 252 between Martinsville and Morgantown is still closed due to down powerlines.

Are you seeing (and hearing) lots of cicadas? We haven't encountered many at the office (inside The Main Connection on Main Street in Martinsville), but get out of the city and you can't miss them! If you're looking for a place to enjoy the cicada "song" we recommend Morgan-Monroe State Forest and Ravinia State Forest.
Bonus - both of those Forest sites are part of the #indiananaturepassport if you need to get your check-ins!
We're ready... are you?

Morgan County Faces of Tourism
The faces of tourism in Morgan County, Indiana are also the faces of small, locally owned businesses. Visitor spending helps keep our local economy going!
May 3-9 is National Travel & Tourism Week! This is shaping up to be a tough year for our tourism-related businesses, so we want to remind you that all the locally owned small businesses that make Morgan County a great place to live... also make it a great place to visit!
Visitor spending puts more than $28 million into the Morgan County economy each year, and we salute the many local faces of tourism that keep those visitors coming to our area. We'll all be here waiting to welcome visitors once it is safe to travel again.
A moment of nature, direct to you from Morgan-Monroe State Forest. #thisismorganco (Make sure your sound is on for this one.)
