This Saturday's candy cane pour times at the Martinsville Candy Kitchen will be 10 am, 1 pm and 4:30 pm. Stop in and watch them make candy canes by hand, then check out local shops, or enjoy lunch or dinner at a locally owned eatery in downtown Martinsville!

🎄Are you a real Christmas tree fan? 🎄
Get your real trees right here in Morgan County, from a local family farm! Mark your calendar - here's where (and when) they'll be available:

🌲Hunter's Honey Farm will begin selling trees on the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 29. Pick from pre-cut trees, or cut your own! Enjoy complimentary hot honey cider and a cookie station for the kids! Located at 6501 W. Honey Lane, Martinsville. Holiday season hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 1-5 pm, Sunday.

🌲Jay's Tree Farm in Mooresville's opening weekend will be November 23-24. This year, they'll be partnering with local food vendors each weekend! Choose from pre-cut trees, or cut your own, then browse their holiday goods, indulge in a snack, relax around the bonfire and get a photo with Santa. Hours are from 3-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Located at 755 E. Joppa Road, Mooresville.

We all know that Shop Small Saturday is coming later this month, but we'd like to challenge to you make it Shop Small Season! Did you know that many small businesses make the majority of their profits for the year in November and December?

Here's a great example - you know those seasonal cranberry bliss bars from a national chain coffee shop? Try the local version at Sara's Goodies inside The Main Connection in Martinsville. Trust us - you won't be sorry! (Say hi to us at the Visitors Center in the same building and we'll be happy to give you some other local suggestions!)

Have you been to see them make candy canes yet at the Martinsville Candy Kitchen? For those uninitiated in this holiday tradition, you can watch them make candy canes by hand every Saturday in November and December (plus other select dates). Watch their FB page for specific pour times.

for another weekend of fantastic shows! 🎭 If you didn't make it out to see The Phantom of the Opera last weekend, make sure you get it on your calendar for this weekend. Performances will take place at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday and 3 pm on Sunday at the Martinsville High School Auditorium.

A Veterans Day Observance Program will take place today, November 11, on the southwest corner of the courthouse square in Martinsville, beginning at 11 am. This observance is hosted by the Martinsville American Legion Post 230.

Don't forget about Holiday Craft Fairs on Nov. 9! 🧶 The Habitat for Humanity Craft Fair will take place from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, and the Monrovia Christmas Holiday Bazaar will be open from 9 am to 3 pm at Monrovia Elementary.

Parking alert! 🚗⚠️🚗
Tonight will be a very busy night at Martinsville High School. MHS will be hosting both the Football Sectional Final 🏈and the opening night of The Phantom of The Opera🎭 (additional shows will take place Nov. 9-10 and 15-17).

School parking lots may fill up fast. Plan accordingly, and please ride share if possible! There will be additional parking at the Morgan County Fairgrounds with a shuttle to transport attendees to and from both the football field and the auditorium. Shuttle stop will be at the Fairgrounds gate on Illinois Street (near the Grandstand area, across from Bell Intermediate Academy).
