The new certification program recognizes Iowa film festivals that maintain a high level of professionalism, community involvement, and engagement for filmmakers and fans.

The Iowa Independent Film Festival is excited to announce that we are officially an Iowa Certified Film Festival! 🎬

Administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the newly developed Iowa Certified Film Festival program recognizes festivals for upholding high standards in showcasing independent film productions, fostering connections with our local and visiting filmmakers, and enriching the communities of Mason City and Clear Lake with engaging programming.

We are incredibly excited to join other film festivals across the state who also have earned this distinction and thank you to all of our attendees, filmmakers, and sponsors for their endless support.

Be on the lookout for more updates as we’ve been hard at work and have some more exciting news coming very soon!
